Mudwater, Anime, Clubhouse, & the Club: An honest ApeFest review
Everyone is looking for a big announcement during ApeFest in a keynote format. As we know by now, there’s none
But seeking for an announcement takes us away from the big drop in ApeFest: Mudwater
I’ll talk about Mudwater in detail some time in the future, not in this post. But here’s what I’ll say about Mudwater drop in ApeFest: “It’s done and live”
It’s not coming soon, it’s not going live in a month, it’s live now. It’s something you can play now. And a lot of people don’t appreciate that fact of dropping something that’s done rather than dropping a news or teaser of what will be done
Even I didn’t appreciate this fully up until I had a conversation with
@BoredApeGazette about this. And that kinda changed my perspective
With that said, what about BAYC Anime and Clubhouse? Well, if we’ll take the Mudwater example, it may seem like that BAYC doesn’t want to drop announcements on these without key details set yet ie: wen anime drop, wer is it streaming, wen clubhouse opening, wer in miami exactly???
If Mudwater drop is telling us something about the
@mfigge era, it may be that BAYC won’t announce anything that isn’t ready for primetime yet. And maybe, Clubhouse and Anime aren’t ready for that yet at the moment
But you know what the real highlight of ApeFest is? The Club
Time and time again, it’s always the people that’s the reason why we go to ApeFest
This year, it’s a good mix of OGs and new ape holders coming in to ApeFest. It’s always nice to connect with new people and hang again with my internet bestfriends. I don’t mind doing this every year at all
This reaffirms my belief that IRL is the alpha and BAYC is the best club on the internet (and IRL)
See you all again next year!
