I am so chuffed about this because it is so well deserved. I have been involved with exercises all around 🌍 and at highest levels of government and this one blew my socks off. (It also looked after its players in a way rarely seen)
We ran a wargame - in a podcast - that simulates a Russian attack on the UK to help bring to life the reality of the threat and raise awareness in Britain about the critical importance of rebuilding credible defences and wider national resilience.
The series just won best news, politics & current affairs podcast at the British Podcast Awards.
Massive team effort!
Thank you to @RJohnsonCCW1 for devising the scenario
Thank you to everyone involved in the production, in particular @jshield @swhiteheadsky & @senordelcorbett
And thank you to our exceptional cast of former top ministers and military and security chiefs, led by @BenWallace70 who played our PM 💪 as well as @KeirGiles and his expert team who played the Russian side
