Finding it very educational and interesting to learn about the hardware layer of GPUs: how they are structured, the obvious advantages and disadvantages bs CPUs. This is from Modal’s excellent “GPU Glossary” print book @can gave me (the PDF is free here: modal.com/gpu-glossary)

Oh boy !
Cloudflare is taking ownership of tsrs, a port of TypeScript to Rust. It's 8x faster and uses 70% less memory than TypeScript 7.0. We are not forking TypeScript – we are working with the TypeScript team and as a result 7.1 is already ~2.5x faster, too. blog.cloudflare.com/typescri…

Read more difficult books. If a text doesn't force you to pause, re-read a page three times, and uncomfortably inspect your own behavior, you aren't expanding your mind. You are just consuming easy narrative junk food to feel productive.

Before Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal had qualified for only three World Cups in their entire history. With Cristiano Ronaldo, they qualified for six out of six World Cups, never missed a major international tournament, and won three major trophies after having none before 🏆🏆🏆

When I saw that match, I just knew his relationship with Jesus was over. Y’all still don’t understand that Ronaldo is big on the principle that actions must match words. With him, actions speak louder than words. He has no problem compromising, but when you have an agreement, he compromises on his part, and you don’t follow through, that’s betrayal. Norway dominated the second half, yet you told him to warm up with less than 15 minutes left. He respected that, got ready, then you changed the plan. There is no excuse for reneging on your agreement, flopping and failing to compromise when it was your turn. After which you then went to the press to control the narrative and used what was best for the team to justify your decision. This is the same Ronaldo who paid players’ late salaries from his pocket in Saudi. Even with you as his coach, he missed a 2 matches in protest against the SPL for not supporting you with transfer funds. Ronaldo has made it clear he is not desperate to continue with the national team, and if you won’t rely on him don’t call him up.. but you did..

Lots of discussion out there about our next model(!), so I wanted to give an early look as soon as possible. Introducing Gemini 4 Argon! It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback. “A Brief History of Time” of Steven Hawking is really a good piece of art in plain English without any silly maths.

At 5% I can bet that indefinitely, not probably and honestly the proof is on the harness.
