Finding it very educational and interesting to learn about the hardware layer of GPUs: how they are structured, the obvious advantages and disadvantages bs CPUs.
This is from Modal’s excellent “GPU Glossary” print book @can gave me (the PDF is free here: modal.com/gpu-glossary)

Cloudflare is taking ownership of tsrs, a port of TypeScript to Rust. It's 8x faster and uses 70% less memory than TypeScript 7.0.
We are not forking TypeScript – we are working with the TypeScript team and as a result 7.1 is already ~2.5x faster, too.

Read more difficult books. If a text doesn't force you to pause, re-read a page three times, and uncomfortably inspect your own behavior, you aren't expanding your mind. You are just consuming easy narrative junk food to feel productive.

Before Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal had qualified for only three World Cups in their entire history.
With Cristiano Ronaldo, they qualified for six out of six World Cups, never missed a major international tournament, and won three major trophies after having none before 🏆🏆🏆

Lots of discussion out there about our next model(!), so I wanted to give an early look as soon as possible. Introducing Gemini 4 Argon!
It shows frontier performance in complex workflows, cyber defense and software engineering. Teams are using it extensively at Google, from coding to quantum computing, great feedback.
Here’s a look at the benchmarks:
