Some great progress on the M3 GPU support.
M3 Max GPU is on, all 40 cores working with our aurora kernel. Thanks to @ewninjaofficial and @SiliconForested for collaborating with me on this. Next up: I’m joining @JoshuaSWarren to push Local AI on M3 Max @dhh @OmarchyMac @AuroraSilicon @omarchy

AI has been a revolution of my homelab management. I don’t know how I could manage before without it.
I gave @grokbot my UniFi Dream Machine API for 1 night... and it tuned the sh*t out of it. 408 stale IPS rules, gone. 41 ghost clients, gone. 144 down to 103. an old port forward I forgot about, gone. mesh backhaul went from about 450 Mbps to as high as 1170. my VPN Wi-Fi moved to WireGuard and doubled, about 200 to 400 Mbps. It also caught my nightly backup silently skipping 14 days in a month. Now it keeps 30 days and yells if one fails. every change backed up first, done 1 at a time, verified. When did you last actually look inside your router?

The gap between larger SOTA and smaller models is shrinking.
Opus 5.5 vs DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 Same prompt. Same task. Build a cinematic 3D animation explaining how a Tesla-style electric motor works. Is Opus in trouble?

More great improvements for our M suite. Try Omarchy v1.0 released. The Omarchy M "Máquina Virtual".
Try Omarchy v1.0 is now available 🎉 It uses the new Omarchy Mac image, which will soon be released officially for native installs. It also uses the official ARM package mirror, so installing packages is now very smooth. Updates are solved. You can now update Omarchy inside the VM as you see fit, and upgrading to newer versions of Try Omarchy doesn't required any migrations or VM resets. Now that we are using the complete Omarchy image, things that were missing before are now available, such as Omawrite. Over the coming days we will also release other huge improvements to make Try Omarchy as good of a daily driver as a native installation. Instructions for migrating VM disks from previous versions are available on the release page. This is the biggest update we've released since the initial launch, I hope you enjoy it! github.com/omacom/try-omarch…

All models are under work.
It begins - my agents are diving in to this M6 Mac Mini to bring it up under Omarchy Linux as quickly as possible. Let's see how long it takes us to get from macOS About screen to Omarchy About screen. They're pulling some benchmarks first to see how it performs for local AI.

Same here.
We're at a point where 1 Claude sub is worth 3 Codex subs to me. OAI's limits rn are garbage, models are slow, and then on top of that they want 500$ for something worse than they had 3-4 months ago. Sad, I wouldn't recommend it rn

We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

About to start benchmarks
🚀 DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is here! Stronger benchmark performance, faster task completion, and shorter outputs than the previous version—a Pareto improvement in performance and cost. Now live on our website, app, and API. 🛠️ Optimized for @DeepSeekHarness, Tencent CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, and more. Upgrade to DeepSeek Harness v0.2.1-rc.1 or later for the best experience with the new model. 1/4

Leon TasteSkills have been my secret sauce for a while to generate websites with agents.
We rebuilt TasteSkill from scratch And today we are introducing TasteSkill v2 v2 gives your coding agent an art direction, assets and a browser check to verify its work npx skills add Leonxlnx/taste-skill check out more examples below!

I've had this M3 Max sitting on my desk just waiting for this installer to reach a solid testing state. It's really incredible how easy it can be to install directly on Apple Silicon now due to the great work of the team!

This is a great feature that should save a lot of Claude usage.
We recently added idle compaction to Claude Code! It now compacts long idle sessions right before the prompt cache expires (~1h). If you come back to it later, it only has to reprocess the summary instead of the entire conversation, which saves you some usage.

That’s exactly how I feel about both.
i'm not testing muse wonder, because: 1. without contributor tier, it's opus 5.5 at API price. why don't i just run opus 5.5 then... 2. it's weird to lock the "full" model behind their subscription i'm also not testing gemini 4 argon, because: 1. previous gemini models had lost my trust, and nothing so far gives me enough motivation to revisit 2. google's AI subscription doesn't allow the models to be used in 3p harnesses i know this sounds harsh to those companies, but i see many consumers are in a similar situation - we have way too many options, some of which are absolutely AMAZING right now. the bar is extremely high for us to justify spending any second of our time on an unproven model family meta and google need to both realize they are catching up on market perception, and are in no position to gate anything my suggestion to them would be to allow heavily subsidized access everywhere including openrouter and all 3p harnesses, and leverage that to get enough people to try their models. if the models are good, the words will then spread

New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control. In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale. Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…
