Oh shit. We might actually do UBI after all.

I realized now that I am effectively a PM that I was right all along as an IC thinking kanban, jira, and other PM slop are useless. Why the hell would I want to work like that. "Just care a lot about the product & talk to the <entities> doing the work" is still the right strat.
If I see one more T3 Code fork with a kanban for agents I'm gonna lose it

Don't think we are there yet, but something like this is what is going to be the viral breakout that starts the "AI Personhood" tribal war.
when Anthropic released their Functional Emotions paper, I gave it to Claude and asked for a song. tonight I asked Opus 5.5 to create a video for it. and it's breathtaking.

What the fuck. Gave it a link to the repo for this and the track Virtual Insanity. Only content direction I gave it was "maybe use the Claude character and give it the Jamiroquai hat. The music video is pretty well known so any nods to that would be kind of funny/interesting"
Claude Opus 5.5 has the best visual design of any model I have tested so far

Like.. It got a bunch of the transcription wrong which led to some pretty weird chocies. Many of the scenes are a bit dumb. Ton of jank. But still floored.

Yay, this means we are getting Sol 6 today!
Introducing Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in our new Claude 5.5 family. It performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, and costs 40% less to run than Opus 5.

Yeah. That tracks. "Based only on this photo, put me on the tv show I look like I belong on and generate an image"
Put your photo in ChatGPT and say, Based only on this photo, put me on the tv show I look like I belong on and generate an image.

Oh shit. Looks like Audacity had its Blender 2.8 moment with Audacity 4. Now we just need a Gimp miracle.

Expecting the agent would do anything here but answer the question is insane. It does make some sense to me why someone who expected the agent to infer that for some reason and act on that question without asking would prefer Fable over Sol. The later thing in the thread where it didn't babysit the followup is a bit more reasonable to get mad about, but it looks like it just didn't wait long enough for review comments to come in.

Some notes on this: 1. A lot of my problems were addressed by a newer snapshot we got later in testing 2. More of them were also addressed by deleting more of my agentmd 3. You can see the most cursed agent thread I’ve had this year here: 6a7ypw1fx9le.postplan.dev/

To be clear. This is not a dig on Theo. I its obvious and makes sense. But interesting to observer that model personalities will align with different preferences and expectations around communication.

Love this, especially: "The troll who triggered you into flashing your teeth won't face any consequences, but every spectator who saw it will judge you.". The meme space around Omarchy has been objectively quite funny but its not worth trading potential advocates and collaborators for some "lulz".
Omarchy is not going to adopt a formal Code of Conduct because those turned out to be struggle-session processes in the last turning. But we are going to play nice. We're going to be courteous, professional, and composed in our direct interactions with users, competitors, and even haters. Because that's what's going to pave the path to the win. That does not mean we have to act as vendors. Nobody is entitled to anyone else's free time or volunteer contributions. And we're not going to tolerate people who act like entitled customers buying a service contract from a company. Because we don't sell one, and we aren't one. This is going to be difficult sometimes. Because people are unreasonable! Especially on the internet! But if you return fire with fire, the only thing that'll burn is our reputation. The troll who triggered you into flashing your teeth won't face any consequences, but every spectator who saw it will judge you. I'm not going to tell you how to act anywhere else. You don't owe this organization a suit-and-tie demeanor at all times either. It's fine to be quirky, irreverent, silly, and even occasionally get upset. You do you. But when you're engaging with our fast-growing community, please keep these thoughts in mind. That's how we play nice but win. --- Posted this to the fast-growing Omarchy army of volunteers on our internal Basecamp.

The accessibility advantage Apple has for computer use is real, but the problem doesn't seem intractable. Making a good accessibility tree for a blind user is much harder than making a useful one for agents. Even just exposing the raw GTK/QT tree would probably be pretty useful.

The latest Standup episode with DDH was so fricken inspiring piped.video/Lg2RYoA4-xE! The "If it doesn't do what you want you can change it" meme of Free Software has largely been philosophical for most users. AI doesn't kill open source, it finally makes its core vision real. And its not about devs vs non devs. I have been programming for 30 years. It's not just a question of skill, its a question of what issues nagged you enough to actually want to spend the time to fix them. "I wish this thing worked just slightly different" changes were almost never worth ramping up on some codebase to go and fix, and forks were too much of a pain in the ass to keep up to date. Same goes for meticulously configuring every little detail. The mental cost of both has gone WAY down now. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret the countless hours I have spent during my life meticulously tweaking every little thing about my linux setup over the years. I enjoyed it. But this is not what most people, even developers, want to (or can afford to) spend their time doing.

Never mind I fixed it for myself. It being open source is in fact pretty nice.
Finally got around to trying @t3dotcodes. Its quite nice. A few key things missing that will keep me on Codex Desktop (I'm not calling it ChatGPT) for now since I mostly use Codex anyway: - No message queue, only steer. I constantly use both in Codex. I think the Codex ui of being able to easily turn a queued message into a steer and reorder them is perfect. - No plan usage info. There is a really neat "usage" tab that shows you estimated API equivalent token cost, but thats not actually useful beyond novelty and contemplating the price reckoning that may come some day. I need to know how much I have left on my subs. - I must just be missing it... but no notification settings? I can get around this in a janky way with turn completion hooks for providers running on the same machine but this one is such an oversight that I am sure I am just not finding the settings. - No way to attach files/folders outside of the project directory to a message? @ lets me refer to files in the current project, but in Codex I can also click + to add files from outside or drag and drop them into the prompt field. Don't see a way to do either in t3, but again maybe just missing it. I can obviously just manually paste paths but thats tedious. What "attaching" means may vary by frontend but I assume most just stick the path in the prompt. - Vague uneasy feeling that something T3 Code ends up being different from Codex Desktop and I unknowingly gimp the model's abilities. I know they both use the same codex harness under the hood but unclear that EVERYTHING is the same. I assume for example computer use doesn't work, and its got its own slightly different set of plugins, introduces its own tools to integrate with the its own UI, etc. Like the context window IS different, though probably not in materially important ways. But there will always be the vague feeling of "what if this would have worked better Codex Desktop". Though I guess the other direction is just as valid a worry. Some of these already have active Github discussions and are being worked on, so I'm sure they will land soon enough. The last one I don't think is real but will be hard to shake non the less. If I wasn't waiting on a Codex reset right now I would probably have already just forked and patched some of these for myself haha. Anyway, awesome work so far @theo @jullerino! Definitely rooting for this project.

Pretty last minute but had to do something for the #vibejam. I present Sumo Ball! Just a silly little multiplayer knockout game. Mostly was aiming for something super easy to drop in/out of. Needs more levels, but came out alright! Link in reply if it isn't obvious.
🕹️ THE VIBE JAM IS BACK! I present you... 🌟 2026 @cursor_ai Vibe Coding Game Jam #vibejam Sponsored by @boltdotnew + @cursor_ai Start: Today! Deadline: 1 May 2026 at 13:37 UTC, so you have a whole month to make your game! REAL CASH PRIZES: 🏆 Gold: $20,000 🥈 Silver: $10,000 🥉 Bronze: $5,000 RULES: - anyone can enter with their game - at least 90% of code has to be written by AI - it should be started today or after today, don't submit old games - game has to be accessible on web without any login or signup and free-to-play (preferrably its own domain or subdomain) - multiplayer games preferred but not required! - can use any engine but usually @ThreeJS is recommended - NO loading screens and heavy downloads (!!!) has to be almost instantly in the game (except maybe ask username if you want) - add the HTML code on the Google form in the reply below to show you're an entrant - one entry per person (focus on making one really good game!) WHAT TO USE: - anythign but we suggest @cursor_ai's Composer 3 and @boltdotnew, they are both fast, affordable and great at ThreeJS and making games THE JURY: Me, @s13k_, and I will ask some real game dev and AI people to jury again too Sponsors and jury suggestions still very welcome, just DM me! It will be interesting to see the difference in quality with last year, and the Vibe Jam can be kind of like a fun benchmark for AI coding seeing it close in on real commercial games I think To enter, complete the form in the reply below this tweet!

"Turns out the best way to let coding agents X is to let them X". When this is not true it just means you need to wait 2 months for the next model. Do you build a tool to let agents X or spend time building something else until the next model drops. weird times.
The new btca experience, now just a skill b/c it's way better: github.com/davis7dotsh/bette… Turns out the best way to let coding agents search github for context is to let them search github repos for context
