Count Dooku, Qui-Gon’s former master, told Obi-Wan the core of the truth on Geonosis. The Republic was under the control of a Sith Lord named Darth Sidious. The dark side had clouded the Jedi’s vision. Hundreds of senators were under his influence. Dooku had left the Order over its complacency toward a decaying Republic.
Obi-Wan rejected it at once: “No, that’s not possible. The Jedi would be aware of it.” The Council later dismissed the warning as deceit.
The Order was not simply tied to a corrupt Senate. It had become an extension of the Republic itself. Its peacekeepers and eventual generals. Its legitimacy depended on that system continuing. Combined with the certainty that they would sense any Sith threat, this left them unable to treat the warning as something that needed real investigation. The truth was stated directly. The capacity to act on it was already gone.

Count Dooku is totally misunderstood. He saw the problems coming earlier than most people wanted to admit.
He got tired of watching the Jedi do the bidding of the corrupt Senate while the Republic just kept rotting, so he left.
A lot of the systems that joined him actually wanted out on their own. They had real complaints about how the Republic was treating them and he gave them a place to go. Using droids instead of actual people also made sense if you were trying to avoid turning the whole thing into a meat grinder the way the clones ended up doing.
The part that gets overlooked in my opinion is how much Palpatine was pulling the strings the whole time. Dooku thought he was working toward something better but he was really just being used. The war and everything that came with it wore him down until he wasn’t really the same person who left the Order.
In the end people only remember the “bad guy” version of him, which I feels like misses a lot of what actually happened.

It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m).
I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.
