Last week, we had a design review meeting with the @INSPACeIND team for SANJAY (our SAR satellites in India’s EO-PPP satellite constellation). We went through every configuration in detail. The IN-SPACe experts brought sharp insights and flagged critical points early. Catching them now means we can build them into the design rather than fix them later. The review went really well, and we’re moving ahead with a stronger plan for the next phase. Thank you to the IN-SPACe team for their time, expertise, and guidance throughout.

You’ve seen us win contracts, build state-of-the-art subsystems, test, and hit milestones big and small. But here are some of the ones who are making this possible - day after day. Most of the time, they work behind the scenes, but now we will make sure that you see their journey & contributions more often. PS: Subjects in the picture were not forced to pose! :)

Last week, we participated in the “Maritime Domain Awareness in the Indo-Pacific” workshop, jointly organised by @CSDR_India and @NIAS_India, in Bengaluru. Today, countries define MDA (Maritime Domain Awareness) differently, prioritize different threats, and operate largely separate information-sharing architectures. This workshop brought together several participants from across South Asia, Southeast Asia, members of India's strategic community, and others in one place. The key focus was on mapping how our countries actually approach MDA, identifying where the gaps lie, and finding concrete opportunities for collaboration. Having a seat at this table allowed us to understand the perspective of multiple nations on MDA’s future from close quarters and how we can help accelerate that with our sovereign SAR systems. We would like to thank the panelists and organisers, @CSDR_India, @NIAS_India, and @TakshashilaInst, for inviting us to the event and hosting such a meaningful exchange.

#WSBW2026 provided us with a fresh perspective on where SAR, as a space technology, is headed. A few takeaways👇 > Earlier, India decided to build its first indigenous Earth Observation constellation under a public-private model. Now individual states are also considering having their own dedicated satellite constellations like Assam, and now Maharashtra (announced at World Space Business Week) > SAR surveillance is one of the capabilities nations want most. But buying it is still hard, and export controls are a big reason why. That makes democratising access more important than ever. > Indian space-tech growth has pulled the attention of Western countries and they are following the domestic industry with much interest. After the sessions, we joined evening events by @exotrail, @skynopy_space and @ReOrbitOy, and met potential customers and partners in person. Thanks to Exotrail for the factory tour, and to @ficci_india and the Indian Embassy for hosting us. The conversations made one thing clear: SAR will be a crucial surveillance technology for nations. We're proud to be one of the flag bearers building that future from India. 🇮🇳

Twitter, do your magic! :) We're looking for a video editor at @piersightspace. You'll work closely with our in-house team to turn raw footage and B-roll into stories that explain the technology behind our satellites. You should be comfortable editing videos for product launches, funding announcements, team culture, and more. It's fully remote, so wherever you are in India, if this sounds like something you can help with, we'd love to hear from you. How to apply? Just drop one video edit in the comments that best shows off your editing skills. If it's the kind of work we're looking for, we'll be in touch.

Our indigenously built High Power Amplifier EPC and Payload EPC for Varuna 2.0 have successfully completed vibration testing. Under this test, the whole power system was subjected to quasi-static load, sine vibration, and random vibration tests across all three orthogonal axes. The subsystems have successfully cleared all test parameters while maintaining structural integrity and electrical performance. With this, one more subsystem moves closer to flight-ready hardware - built completely from scratch by our in-house power electronics team. But for now, that’s it for this update; see you on the next one :)

Earlier, India decided to build its own Earth Observation Constellation under a Public-Private Partnership Model. Now, individual states are also considering having their own dedicated satellite constellations, like Assam and now Maharashtra (announced at World Space Business Week, Paris). Our Founder & CEO, @GauravSeth93, met with the Government of Maharashtra delegation, including Dr. Uday Samant, Hon'ble Minister of Industries, and Mr. P. Anbalagan, Principal Secretary, Industries, Investment & Services Department, at World Space Business Week 2026 to discuss the value SAR satellite data can bring to the state. We are grateful to @ficci_india for inviting us to be a part of this meeting. #WSBW2026

It’s a wrap on Day 1, WSBW 2026! We spent most of the time connecting with our component suppliers and potential new customers. Somehow, we managed to take out some time to get a picture of the Eiffel Tower too :) By the way, we will be right here at the event on the 15th, 16th, and 17th as well. So do meet us if you are here at WSBW 2026 and would like to learn more about SAR systems. Here’s the booking link: lnkd.in/dPg44nET #WSBW2026

We are coming with some really good news to World Space Business Week, 2026! @piersightspace & @KSAT_Kongsberg are going to explore an integration of Varuna’s next-generation maritime surveillance data into Vake (powered by KSAT), a maritime situational awareness & tracking platform. Varuna, unlike any other imaging constellation, is engineered specifically & only for persistent maritime surveillance. That’s the reason behind our maritime-specific capabilities, like wide-swath surveillance of oceans (approx. 200,000 sqkm. per pass) and dark vessel attribution using SAR+AIS data fusion, which have been some of the key points of interest for data resellers and tracking platforms, like Vake powered by KSAT. As we continue to expand our presence across the USA & Europe, this collaboration boosts our confidence as a strong signal of validation for our maritime SAR+AIS data. To explore more such synergies, we are heading to WSBW 2026, looking for conversations with partners who are seeking this capability, clients looking to secure their domain, and data resellers who would benefit from additional coverage. If you are one of them and will be participating in WSBW, feel free to book a meeting slot here: bookings.cloud.microsoft/boo… In case you won’t be at the event this time around, you can always reach out to nick@piersight.space, who oversees all of our Europe Sales.

At @bsxindia, our team spent the last three days connecting with potential new business partners and suppliers & manufacturers who provide crucial components that go behind every satellite. Along the way, we also met a few familiar faces, potential customers, and had many amazing conversations. Grateful to the ones who stopped by, and for the suppliers or partners that we didn’t get a chance to connect with at the Expo, you can always get in touch with achintyaa.tewari@piersight.space. #BSX2026

@piersightspace has finally found “the home” it has been looking for all these years :) A few months back, we signed a multi-year lease to build PierSight’s Official Headquarters. This three-floor, 30000 sq. ft. office allows us to fulfill our current satellite commitments & build multiple drone SAR payloads simultaneously every year, bringing our manufacturing to speed for commercial scale-up. It is just a bare office space right now, and we are working to get it ready, with the plan to move in by the end of this year. However, even this space might feel smaller in the next 2-3 years, as our team continues growing at a rapid pace. But for now, with Lord Ganpati’s blessings and our new official headquarter in place, we continue building :)

There’s a lot more, but we will keep it short. Last year was all about momentum and growth. The coming year will be the same, with one clear, shared top priority for the entire team: launching our first commercial satellite, VARUNA 2.0, by next year. Grateful to our team, investors, mentors, and partners who have been a part of this journey and continue to support us in every way they possibly can. With that, we are three years down, with many more to go :)
