100% agree.
Running a PM exchange at scale in the U.S. with deep liquidity, market deployment & resolution, market integrity & trade surveillance, APIs, iOS/Android apps, website, etc... is hard.
The fact that Polymarket, once a little startup with just a DeFi protocol, has been able to launch and operate a CFTC licensed exchange is a minor miracle that few, if any, in DeFi have been able to do.
We're not perfect and we still have a lot of work to do, but proud of how far we've come in the past year.
Onwards.
My experience of building and operating a CFTC predictions exchange is that it's extremely difficult, technical work, operationally intensive in a way that is not obvious, and literally everyone who tries underestimates these aspects of running the business.
