Passionates of immunology research. We have weekly Journal Clubs where we discuss trends in immunology research in the company of the first authors 🇲🇽 🌐
How do enhancers work over distances that sometimes exceed megabases? Excited to share our work led by @gracecbower where we uncover a unique sequence signature globally associated with long-range enhancer-promoter interactions in developing limb buds: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… 1/
We need to promote & teach integrity & solid-sound science rather than flashy or "award-winning" science. Excellence & ground breaking research will be consequence of the former. Show trainees that they should be proud of their well done/thought honest work, regardless of awards
Oh dear. Several folks sent me this:
A science fair project that won the @Regeneron Young Scientist Award, a $50,000 scholarship, and First Place, a $5,000 cash award applies to have stolen images and data from other papers.

Are you excited about neuroimmunology? Do you have/are you finishing a PhD in neuroscience, (neuro)immunology or organoid biology?
I'm recruiting a postdoc to join me this September/October at the new lab! @MRC_LMB

Open postdoctoral position in my lab! 🚨
Goal: to study the transcriptomic landscape of intestinal tissue regeneration, with clear implications for intestinal diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and colorectal cancer (CRC).
we look for... 👇🏿👇🏽👇🏻👇
Tons of biology to learn and discover! I promise I am not biased about thinking this is a great lab to work in! Thanks to @Michelle_cKO for the IF image!!
I made these threads on my amazing team to serve as an inspiration for aspiring scientists - #science is for everyone, role models can come from unexpected sources, and there are many different (good) reasons to become a #scientist. But there are also useful lessons for PIs. 1/4
Pretty conclusive then. A common pool of #TissueTregs can percolate between multiple non-lymphoid non-gut organs, dipping in for ~3 weeks, turning on a common tissue program, then moving on. Global homeostatic police. Regulatory cells with a pan-tissue beat. 19/21
So glad to see my PhD work, under the great mentorship of @FurlanLab, now published! We characterized the genome organization of nucleated chicken erythrocytes in relation with the severe transcriptional repression that takes place during terminal erythropoiesis 🩸. 1/5
Join us to our next seminar on engineered CD8+ T cells for solid tumors! 🚀
@CorriaJesus created cells with dual cytokines, resulting in a new synthetic effector state. Say goodbye to TOX+ exhaustion and hello to enhanced anti-tumor functions! 🎯
