MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Almost every demo I’ve seen has some amount of mis-touches and slight fumbles because at the end of the day this is still a computer designed to be used with a keyboard and a trackpad/mouse, but… there’s no denying it’s responsive and smooth as hell Pro tip: the nanotexture version is way softer/smoother to the touch than the glossy, which drags a bit under your finger. Both do a surprisingly good job hiding fingerprints You know what the most underrated difference to me is? The lighter weight. I swear. The 16-inch weighs almost a pound less than the non-touch version. Very into that Full video impressions coming soon

Are you prepared to have your mind blown? I’m not joking. Sit down for this and get your blood pressure meds ready. Osama Saadi, who is part of the Joint list that is estimated to have between 10 and 15 seats in the upcoming Knesset is not just disloyal to the state of Israel. Ready for this? We, the Fuld family are suing the Palestinian authority for paying a salary to the family of the terrorist who murdered my brother. We are in the middle of the lawsuit. You sitting down? Guess the name of the lawyer who is representing the PA in the lawsuit? If you guessed Osama Saadi, you’d be right. Let me say that again slowly. Osama Saadi, a lawyer that represents the Palestinian authority and who defends their right to the pay to slay program, aka the PA paying terrorists to kill Jews, is a member of a party that now has 10-15 seats in the Israeli parliament. But sure, get angry at me when I write a post that these people and any Arabs not loyal to Israel should not even be given citizenship, let alone be allowed in the Knesset. This man supports Palestinian terror and he does it formally and officially and he will have influence over the future of the Jewish state. I don’t have any words.

🚨 ISRAEL VOTER TURNOUT SURGES TO RECORD LEVELS As of 6 PM, voter turnout reached 66.7% — the highest ever recorded at that hour, with nearly 5 million Israelis already casting ballots. Turnout is particularly strong in a number of Arab communities, adding another major variable to tonight’s coalition math. A stronger Arab-party showing could make Netanyahu’s path to 61 seats more difficult. But Eisenkot has his own problem: forming a government could ultimately require some form of outside Arab-party support, which remains politically contentious. The big unanswered question now is what happens on the right and among Haredi voters during the final hours. A major late surge there could significantly change the seat distribution. Polls are scheduled to close at 10 PM, although anyone already waiting in line will still be allowed to vote. If neither camp can ultimately assemble 61 seats, Israel could once again face prolonged coalition negotiations — and potentially another election.

The Bravest Apache Woman Geronimo called the Chihenne Apache woman Tze-gu-juni (Tseh-goo-JOO-nee), also known as Huera, “the bravest of Apache women.” Chihenne (Chee-HEN-nay) was a band of the Chiricahua Apache, historically centered near the Warm Springs area of southwestern New Mexico. They are sometimes called the Warm Springs Apache. Like other Chiricahua bands they ranged across southern New Mexico, eastern Arizona, and northern Mexico. The name is linked to the use of red paint or ochre. Leaders such as Victorio and Nana were Chihenne. Tze-gu-juni was born Chihenne around 1847. She was the only survivor when lightning struck her, her mother, and her sister during a thunderstorm. She lived through the violence that followed the October 14, 1880, Mexican ambush at Tres Castillos, where Victorio and many others were killed. Captured with nearly 70 other Apache women and children, she was sent to the Mexico City area and enslaved. Her captors called her Francesca or Huera, and she learned Spanish fluently while there. After four or five years she escaped with a few others. They had only one knife and one blanket between them. The walk back across the desert stretched roughly 1,300 miles. They survived by eating prickly pear fruit and whatever else they could find. A mountain lion attacked her on the way, going for her throat. She pulled the blanket tight around her neck for protection. The animal tore her scalp loose from her skull, but she kept fighting and killed it with the knife. Her companions reattached the scalp with thorns and used the mountain lion’s own saliva to help the wounds. She was left with lasting scars on her face, chest, and hands, and limited use of her hands, yet she kept walking. She reached the San Carlos Reservation and became an interpreter for the Army, a mother figure to younger Apache women, a healer, and a skilled maker of tiswin, the fermented corn drink. Married to Mangas, son of the Chihenne leader Mangas Coloradas, she gave a blunt speech in May 1885 that helped push Geronimo, Mangas, and others to break out of the reservation rather than wait for punishment. Historian Edwin R. Sweeney later noted that her influence at that moment should not be underestimated. She was later held as a prisoner of war with the other Chiricahuas, first in Florida and then at Fort Sill. There she continued as a healer and sang for the dead. She became one of Geronimo’s later wives and is buried near him in the Beef Creek Apache Cemetery at Fort Sill. Her exact death date is uncertain, with accounts placing it in the early 1890s or around 1901–1902. The studio portrait commonly shown with her story is a genuine photograph from the mid-1880s. Archival records identify it as Huera, the Chiricahua woman and wife of Mangas, wearing the shawl and beadwork visible in the image.

Yes they do; they see it as a risk worth taking even if they die, because the pay is good and the 'coffin money' from their death is enough to pay off a mortgage, pay for the kids' education, etc.

I was shopping in Brighton and antizionists tried to stop me buying Israeli goods from Waitrose. They said I’d be “racist” to buy them. I asked if it was xenophobic to boycott a whole nation. They had no answers. So I bought LOADS of Israeli products and they were NOT happy.

The sand traps are modern. The geometry underneath them is about 2,000 years old. This is the Octagon Earthworks in Newark, Ohio. Native builders connected a 50-acre octagon to a 20-acre circle and aligned the earthworks with the moon’s rising and setting positions across an 18.6-year cycle. Think about the patience that required. A child watching the moon with an elder could be grown before that cycle repeated. Then look at the fairways. For more than a century, this ground operated as a private golf course. People could play a round inside the earthworks while public access to the monument was restricted. Full public access finally began January 1, 2025. The country club was called Moundbuilders.
