There's been, IMO, high-quality work here, including STORIES (Huizing et al), NicheFlow (Sakalyan et al), stVCR (Peng et al), but each left a gap for our goal: full temporal dynamics (missing in NicheFlow) with cell-cell interactions & niche effects (missing in STORIES & stVCR)

We tackle these in ChronoTILE, a multi-marginal flow matching setup with a multi-scale Transformer. Ongoing work, with more applications & analyses in the works, but the poster gives a glimpse. We’re always excited to connect with others exploring related directions!

Lastly, our sponsor @mithrilcompute made this workshop possible! Some of us use their platform for high-performance computing and we love the experience! Mithril is offering compute credits (1x $10,000 org, 2x$1,000 indiv) Apply here by May 1st: forms.gle/BhtKsWRUcQiL3o856 #ICLR2026
This wraps up the 1st Workshop on Generative AI in Genomics (Gen²) @iclr_conf. We had so many speakers we wanted to invite, yet couldn't fit into our schedule. We'd like to acknowledge our organizers, advisors, and colleague, @SandeepKambham2, who helped us run the workshop!

Also, check out alphagenome-pytorch, an accessible and hackable port from the @pkoo562 and @anshulkundaje labs for integrating the model into native PyTorch pipelines and fine-tuning on custom datasets: genomicsxai.github.io/blogs/… and the thread: nitter.siddz.com/abuen_dia/status/20318…"
Thrilled to announce alphagenome-pytorch, an accurate, readable, and careful port of AlphaGenome's architecture and weights to PyTorch. Work with @gtcaa @m_kjellberg @chriswzou @tuxinming as part of the GenomicsxAI initiative between @anshulkundaje and @pkoo562 labs.

Our last talk was by @arkosiorek on #AlphaGenome. They noted it's not a generative model :) Yet, as a SOTA model for unified regulatory variant effect prediction, it represented the most popular application area of our submissions: regulatory genomics.

We heard from @gokcen, who presented Nona, a masked modeling framework for functional genomics that unifies multiple modalities. Their talk was just as accessible and comprehensive as the model itself! Check our their preprint here: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Today, the NeurIPS Foundation is proud to announce a $500,000 donation to OpenReview supporting the infrastructure that makes modern ML research possible. OpenReview has been our trusted partner for years, enabling rigorous peer review at the scale and pace our field demands. This donation helps ensure they have the resources to strengthen their systems and continue evolving to meet our community's needs. The tools that enable rapid, rigorous scientific exchange aren't peripheral to our work—they're fundamental. This donation reflects our commitment to the infrastructure that makes ML research possible. OpenReview operates on a shoestring. They shouldn't have to. #NoMoreShoestrings #NeurIPS blog.neurips.cc/2025/12/15/s…
