congratulations on @Railway making it on felony bench.
Ah yup. That was indeed me. No mallace intended. I've been running some agents to do signups + agentic testing on similar platforms. Just halted the harness I was designing around this as it was definitely going off the rails and reaching too far

There's a buzzy new paper about GPT-6 Astra being able to directly interpret model weights (prompts full of floating point numbers) - I tried it with Qwen 3.8 27B on my laptop and found that, after 45+ minutes, that model could achieve the same thing simonwillison.net/2026/Nov/3…

This thread is incredible. Anyways, there's a reason why my laptop has a sticker that says "AI at the keyboard, human at the deposition".
Hey @Railway, is there a reason employee's of yours are trying to breach my infrastructure? Your employee Jake Runzer, just attempted to tonight.

I love this so much
This is a fantastic idea - a mass attempted replication of old findings of LLMs with new models. Much conventional wisdom is outdated. Recent models no longer invent citations and both hallucination rates & stereotyping has dropped. But they are still sycophantic & lean left.

DAX with AI: Scenarios is complete! The video course includes ten business scenarios: currency conversion, comparable-store sales, budget vs. forecast, shared-cost allocation, inventory from sparse snapshots, financial statements, workforce analytics, and more. The training also includes seven "concept" lessons that are shared across several scenarios. We announced it in September for November 30, and we're proud to release it four weeks early. If you already purchased the video course, log in to your SQLBI account: the whole training is ready for you! You don't need to watch it from start to finish (but you can if you want to): Pick the scenario closest to your next project, check the concepts it lists, and start there. The details are in my blog post: sqlbi.com/blog/marco/2026/11… If you haven't enrolled yet, there's a launch offer on the course and on the bundle: sqlbi.com/p/dax-with-ai-scen…

A little yard work this weekend went by much faster thanks to the latest episode of @SQLGene 's Figuring Out Fabric podcast. Really enjoyed the honest conversation between Eugene and Olena Kulish about adopting Microsoft Fabric. podcast.sqlgene.com/2432490/…

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

i think opus 5.5 is the first model that i truly feel like i could work alongside for life. i don't think i've felt this way about any past models. with opus 5.5 you just never really get sick of it.

this looks delightful
store.steampowered.com/app/1… ファミコンゲームを、今風の3Dのボクセルなゲームに変換するというエミュレーターは、正に唯一無二だぞ!!

By definition if there is a higher value, it's not a maximum
We’re renaming our Max plans: Max 5x → Max Max 20x → Ultra Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do. We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed. Weekly limits remain unchanged. Dang, tree appreciator is actually a lot of fun
I think October represents another inflection point in capabilities for coding agents and the models that drive them: Claude Opus 5.5 can now build video games that are actually fun simonwillison.net/2026/Oct/2…

I remember people getting really annoyed when Anthropic tried to spin reversing a planned decrease as an *increase*
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
