Unfortunately most people really do not need or want to know what the government is doing, and they are forced by proxy into a civic position. Democracy is not bad but universal voting is a disaster in the 21st century when you don't have a monopoly on information
Met an honest to God normie-lib yesterday, reaffirmed my belief that democracy is bad because he clearly does not want to grapple with topics like "crime" or "optimal taxation".
Democracy is horrible, the voters suffer so much... it pains me to see them forced to think about these topics.

The craziest thing about ubers in Dubai is that for 15-30 bucks I can get an uber black which is in most cases a V/S class or series 7, very rarely a BYD Han as the worst option. That's less than what I pay for an uber "black" tesla or electric random car in Bucharest.

This is something I have been trying to explain for close to two years, and also part of the reason I moved to UAE. You have four choices:
1. Suicidal empathy driven immigration with no guardrails (Western Europe).
2. UAE model of work permits with strict enforcement.
3. Bet on automation and close borders.
4. Complete decline.
