Reports of an AI penetration-testing tool allegedly being used in attacks targeting South Korean banks raise an important concern: tools built for defense can also be weaponized by attackers.

As AI makes reconnaissance and vulnerability discovery easier to automate, organizations must strengthen monitoring, access controls, and incident response. The future of cybersecurity isn’t just about smarter AI. It’s about smarter defense. 🔐

Day 1 - Create Strong, Unique Passwords ✨ “Same passwords everywhere? That’s an attackers’ buffet 👀” Your password is your first line of defence, so don’t make it easy to guess. Use at least 16 characters, avoid personal or predictable information, and most importantly, never reuse the same password across different accounts. Think of it this way: if you use the same password for your email, social media, and work accounts, if an account is compromised, it’s like you have handed over the keys to your digital life. Instead, create a unique password (or a passphrase) for each account and use a password manager if keeping track becomes difficult. Quick tip: A random phrase like “PurpleBananasDanceAtMidnight-!” is stronger than “P@ssw0rd!” What’s one password habit you think everyone should practice? @CybarikGlobal #CybersecurityDiet
Throughout the month of October, I will be engaging in a 31 days Cybersecurity Diet as part of my contribution to the conversations regarding Cybersecurity Awareness. Each day, I will post a basic Cybersecurity topic, share few tips and ask a question. I want to encourage everyone doing Cybersecurity to join me by using the Cybersecurity diet to also educate people about basic Cybersecurity awareness. Let’s continue to spread the word and support the ecosystem to reduce Cybersecurity breaches 💪

Security doesn’t start with software. Hardware matters. If the devices, ports, access points and physical infrastructure aren’t secured, your digital defenses can still be compromised. Secure the hardware. Strengthen the security. 🔐 #CyberSecurity #InfoSec

We need more builders focused on tools that control AI use, not just build more AI. Falcon AIDR is a good one. Today’s tech landscape needs more like it. AI has come to stay. The earlier we figure out how to control its usage, the better.

One thing cybersecurity keeps teaching me: you can’t be too sentimental with security. You may trust someone, know them for years, or feel bad about denying access but security decisions should be based on evidence, risk, and logic, not emotions.

In cybersecurity, “I know this person” isn’t an access control. 🔐 #Cybersecurity #InfoSec #GRC

Spent some time learning about Zero Trust in cybersecurity today. One thing that stood out to me: “Never trust, always verify.” 🔐 Zero Trust is about continuously verifying users, devices, and access instead of assuming something is safe just because it’s inside the network.

The more I learn about cybersecurity, the more I realize that security isn’t about trusting less—it’s about verifying better. 🛡️ #Cybersecurity #ZeroTrust #InfoSec #CyberSecurity
