"Play long-term games with long-term people" - Naval I started @laguna_network close to 2 years ago with the vision of empowering 5 billion consumers in emerging markets to save in Bitcoin and other tokenised assets like USD, Gold and quality US stocks on their daily spend. We have no VC on our cap table that is chasing us on "wen token?" Just a small team, patient shareholders and long term partners like @SuperteamSG fighting alongside us in the trenches until we get to mass adoption regardless of bull or bear market. If you wanna build long term, build on solana.
Hey :) Are you ready for Solana Summit Singapore? Special cashback code in the comments👇

I feel so lucky to be a Singaporean founder back home in Singapore. I stopped talking to people who think am crazy or thinks crypto is a scam I'm never hireable by Singaporean companies anyway, too fucked up
i feel so lucky to be a founder in the us. in singapore, if your startup fails you can go bankrupt. your parents and friends think you’re crazy. here, people just go “oh cool what are you building” and if you fail, you’re more hireable than if you never tried.

When it comes to hiring, it’s easier to tame a reckless hustler than it is to instill that dawg in someone

I like quiet people. Smart as fuck. Zero show-off. No performance. No drama. Just a calm vibe. Who aren't loud just to be noticed. Who read deep books. Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Nietzsche. Who can sit through a 2-hour documentary about bees and aliens and octopuses and genuinely enjoy it. They find beauty in the ordinary things. Think deeply. Talk less, understand more. The ones who stay low-key and private in a world obsessed with being "seen". These are my people.

Best way to learn about a topic is not to read about it It is also not to write about it It is to build a business about it

Replying to @BenTodar @BNBCHAIN
It's not a competition. Whoever helps to expand the industry benefits the entire industry. You don't have to do everything yourself. 😂

Buying a home is not the same as owning a home. Sure you can buy a condo by putting most of your cash into the downpayment (instead of buying bitcoin or other retire your bloodline asset) and 30% of your salary for the next 30 years for your mortgage Until you pay off your loan, your bank owns your home and thank you very much for the interest payment and pumping my DBS share price. What a wonderful singaporean dream
Buying a condo used to be a dream for many Singaporeans growing up But idk if it’s just me but many people I know owns a condo Most bought when they’re 30 (or slightly below) So my question is - if everyone’s achieving the Singaporean dream, what’s actually the real dream?

whenever someone asks me how i think about purpose, i usually respond with this: a good life is basically the continuous expansion of consciousness & generosity. the mind becomes more capable of seeing. the heart becomes more capable of caring. your actions become more capable of expressing both. everything else is mostly logistics.

Thanks to tokenised stocks, billions of people in emerging markets can accumulate quality financial assets outside their home country in a fractional way. A dollar of SpaceX shares today, another dollar of Gold tomorrow. It goes a long way in building long term wealth for billions who live on under $500 income a month
Everyone should be able to access high-quality financial assets, wherever they live. That's what tokenization unlocks: taking the best of US capital markets and making them available on a global scale. The industry is still small compared with global finance, but the advantages are becoming harder to ignore. Traditional market infrastructure was built around fixed hours, closed networks and layers of intermediaries. It was never designed for 24/7 execution, programmable assets, composability or self-custody. The needs of investors have moved faster than the rails underneath them. We're working to change that. What gives me confidence is seeing how many different people are now pushing this industry forward. Founders are building new products, LPs are bringing liquidity, traders are finding new uses, and infrastructure teams are making the whole thing work. It's a privilege to be in the trenches with all of you. We are still early, and there is a huge amount left to build. It will also take time and effort for the old guard to get onboard. This is worth fighting for.

The days of keyboard, mouse and touchscreen tablets are numbered. Soon they will join tech hardware relics like CD-rom, stylus pen and floopy disks.

Gave my virgin livestream to @OhMeOhMy_Sol because he is awesome. So much work to do together for mass adoption on crypto.
If you shop online a lot, you need to check out @laguna_network. What we love about it is that it doesn't require a huge change in spending behavior: 1⃣ Sign up using your email or LINE account 2⃣ Shop as you usually do (doesn't require a crypto card or stablecoins) 3⃣ Automatically earn tokenized assets with each order Across over TWO HUNDRED Web2 merchants 🤯 Find out more in our livestream recording: 01:36 - @yx3142's Web3 Journey 06:18 - Starting with Laguna 07:35 - Platform Demo 10:05 - Onboarding Web2 Merchants 14:47 - Treasure Shoals 15:26 - Educating Users 16:14 - Laguna Rewards 23:02 - User Demographics 24:50 - Advice for Web3 Founders 28:04 - Goal by End-2026 31:17 - Laguna's Top Merchants 33:10 - Rewards Campaigns Which merchant should they onboard next?

I did my wisdom tooth without novocaine too when i was 19 Not because i was a badass But i was too afraid of an injection for local Anaesthesia I chose to start Laguna Network not for glory or fame but because access to tokenised assets should be as easy as shopping online
Doug Leone once got his tooth drilled without Novocaine just to see if he was a real badass or a faker: “I had a tooth drilled for a root canal, and had to go to a meeting right after. I told the dentist, ‘Drill without any Novocaine.’” “He says, ‘You're out of your mind.’” “My whole life I wanted to see if I was a badass or not. Am I a fake badass, or am I really a badass on the inside? I told the dentist, ‘Take it out with no Novocaine.’” “He drilled, and I jumped. And I told the dentist, ‘I won't move again.’ And I didn't move again.” “I love fear. It does wonders for me.”

Thanks @KASTxyz team for matching 6% of my donation towards the Nepal PMO relief fund You guys are awesome 🫡🫡
I am appreciating the messages from crypto people about Nepal, the thing that would help the most is a way to figure out how we can easily and provably build a crypto<>fiat ramp that instantly converts a wallet with donations to fiat via an international card. It’s heartbreaking that we don’t have something like this yet the donation link: pmdrf.nchl.com.np/
