we have forward deployed storytellers now
We’re building out a new program at @NotionHQ: We call it field storytellers. Where Internet filmmakers & creators meet local businesses. All around the world. They travel there to apprentice a business for a day/two, and come back with stories, documented and published. Field storytelling is a bet that stories are best told and relationships are best built when it’s done out on the field. If you’re great with a camera, love traveling to meet local businesses, and Internet savvy with an audience, reach out 🖤

just read the Wired interview where Jessica shares what she charged for the Meta Muse logo: ~$12.5k for a two-day sprint. for the two days, that's a great fee. but time is only part of it. how do you price in: – the scale of the company using it – your name being attached to it – the backlash risk, especially if you have an online following (and she did receive disproportionate backlash!) honestly, i don't know the answer. i keep going back and forth on whether that amount is too little, too much, or just right for a project like this? curious what others think
oh wow people over there at IG are REALLY mad at Jessice Hische for designing the logo for Meta’s Muse AI agent

Very classy way to wrap up a company story. Feels like another era.
Foursquare was acquired last month. The outcome was disappointing. It's taken me a while to write this, but I think I'm finally done grieving it. Here are some thoughts on our final years, an effort to honor the team who helped build & maintain FSQ's legacy, and my attempt to finally get some closure. teendrama.substack.com/p/som…

First Waymo Ojai ride! Initial impressions: very large inside, could possibly nap on backseat, decor gives mom carpool vibes. Same magical driverless driving.
