1. Meridian aims to be the onchain microstrategy of the RH eco. In the immediate term, it will be LPing treasury funds and become a liquidity hub.
2. After launch, It will start selling covered calls on its token and other treasury assets, with the plan to become a new liquidity primitive that other protocols can use.
3. for example, governance will be able to decide on what assets the DAO buys/sells in its next tranche of covered calls and in what size. Other protocols will be able to vote/bribe to influence the vote in their favor.
4. It will launch in a DeFi native way, reminiscent of Tomb Finance. You will be able to stake tokens, farm MCD, and have the option to convert your deposit into more MCD (you can choose not to, i explain it more here nitter.siddz.com/lordpemby/status/20987…)

The Genesis Farm will launch this week. The only possibility of delay is due to security, we are never going to ship something that is not giga safe that we would not ape ourselves. We will keep you informed.
This is a new DeFi experiment. It may succeed, it may fail. I love doing this, and i believe we are in a great environment for experimenting with novel protocols, the time is right.

we are optimizing the launch of @MeridianCapDAO for defi vibes, and user-friendliness. heres how its going to work:
There is going to be a 5 day Genesis Farming period (similar to tomb and its forks), where you can stake tokens and earn an APR in our token. there will be some deposit fees for staking in these farms
basically, you get to farm an airdrop.
at the end of the Genesis Farm, you will have these options:
1) get back your deposit (minus the deposit fee) and get your airdrop
2) convert some or all of your deposit into the Meridian token, at a low valuation. If you do this, you still get the airdrop you earned by farming. This conversion will have a cap, and will be FCFS.
if after the genesis you're bearish, get back nearly all your principal and get an airdrop, or if you're bullish, you can ape some of the Meridian token at a super low price and still get your airdrop on top of that.
there is going to be no privileged access, everyone will be able to get in on the same terms.
