Gojiberry went from 0 to 4,000+ customers in under a year.
Our cofounders just broke down the whole playbook, and it’s way less dramatic than you’d expect.
There’s really no secret channel or a wild growth hack. They testmaxxed one channel at a time and stacked them as the customer count climbed.
€ 0 → 100 customers: pure outbound grind
Cold email + LinkedIn, running the product on themselves before anyone else did. Zero brand, zero audience. Just finding people showing intent and sliding into conversations. Ugly. Manual. Worked.
100 → 250: Reddit went nuclear
First real breakthrough. Educational breakdowns in SaaS subreddits pulled 10M+ organic views. Traffic quality was mid, but the volume flooded the trial funnel for months. Cost: basically zero.
250 → 750: content + free blueprints
All in on LinkedIn, YouTube, motion design videos, and giving away internal systems as free blueprints. Content brought the reach, blueprints brought the trust, readers turned into customers. Founder-led content started compounding right here.
750 → 1,500: partnerships + X
Twitter, B2B creators, sponsored newsletters, and a lifetime affiliate program that turned into a monster lever. Then YC happened, and the intensity went vertical.
1,500+: paid + hiring
Meta ads, Google ads, influencer agencies, and the first serious hiring push across growth, sales, eng, and product.
And nothing got replaced. Everything stacked. Outbound still runs. Content still runs. A new lever only gets added once the current one is clearly printing.
Watching this from the inside, the one thing I’d tattoo on every founder: stop spraying across five channels.
Beat one until it works. Then add the next. Simple as.
