Many of the Amish descend from people who arrived here in the early 1700s. Most of the people on the right are fine with "different" communities who follow the law. The worst thing the Amish have done to me is make me go a little slower when driving through lovely PA farmlands.
Setting aside half the misinformation in this post, the Amish are also clearly a community that refuses to assimilate to American society.
