This week, our designer Marco walks us through the design challenge of making Dia on Windows feel familiar to Mac users and at-home on a Windows machine. Speaking of familiar... vertical sidebar for your tabs landed in the Beta this week! Get on the waitlist for first looks.
ChatGPT’s Atlas browser was sunset today. Perplexity’s Comet browser is in zombie mode.
When we started @browsercompany nobody cared about browsers, then everyone did (copying Dia), then everyone bailed.
Yet I’ve never felt more confident browser : AI :: phone : smartphones.
🇬🇧 London designers!
Next week we’re back with an AI × Design evening, featuring @chrstnerode, Product Designer at @browsercompany, where she’s helping shape Dia—an AI-native browser that lets you work with AI across your tabs and browsing context.
Christine was previously a Staff Product Designer at @WhatsApp, @Deliveroo and @facebook, working on products used by millions of people.
She’ll give us a behind-the-scenes look at how she redesigned AI-generated documents to feel considered and human, using old-school print constraints to create a distinctive look for everyday outputs and Dia’s daily Morning Brief.
We’ll also have community demos, hands-on build time and an evening of socialising with other senior designers.
Wednesday 12 August, from 5:30pm at the @morsemoney office in Shoreditch.

These three @browsercompany designers invented WhatsApp's swipe-to-reply interaction, led design for Apple Safari, & created Dia's Morning Brief.
They also just brought Arc Spaces to @diabrowser, and spent 30 min to give you a behind-the-scenes look at their design process:
Been using Dia for months. Love it. Can confirm that the morning brief is most "magic" thing I have seen AI do in a long time. And I'm not easily impressed.
When people complain that AI has no taste... maybe they are right. But @browsercompany certainly does...
the Dia browser "morning brief" blew me away this morning. wasn't merely a summary of my calendar, it incorporated and annotated ideas from others' emails about the meetings, my past notes I had forgotten about, and suggested how I prioritize my day. felt a bit next level.
Looking for someone to lead Brand Design at @browsercompany.
The ideal candidate views themselves as an artist, doesn’t work in tech, and lets their portfolio speak for itself.
We’ll pay you more than you make now & ask you to design not manage.
