Excited to share our latest paper @NatureMethods
We present a high-throughput framework to map cellular interactions at ultra-high scale – broadly applicable from whole-organism immune response mapping to personalized therapy response prediction (1/4).

1/4 🧬 New preprint from the lab!
Can future clinical trajectories in AML already be read at diagnosis?
We assembled single-cell multi-omics data from 184 AML patients across all known subtypes, linked to deep clinical outcome data. 🧵

3/4 We also establish a new AML classification based on leukemic stem and progenitor cell states, extending current classification systems.
Together, the results show how features across biological scales combine to shape future clinical trajectories.
4/4 Fantastic work by first authors Jan Barinka, Sarah Gräßle & Magdalena Pajonk, with Simon Raffel, Lars Velten, and many clinical & scientific collaborators.
A huge collaborative effort — very happy to finally share it!
So happy to see this finally out in @NatureCellBio! Co-led with @FloGrunschlager and Tamar Nizharadze, we show how lineage-biased HSC states are organized, how self-renewal divisions can shift HSC states, and how strongly these lineage biases are shaped by extrinsic demands.
Breaking news!
The Erasmus Hematology Lectures start again on September 1 with Marc Dawson. As Marc presents from Australia this lecture will be at 1pm CEST!
All other lecture will be at 4PM CEST!
Check out the complete list of speakers for 2025!
Enjoy and share the news!
