It's nice that it will have more granular difficulty settings, but I believe if they push the granularity further it would be sensational.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation will have Hard Mode from the start and also Dynamic Mode that scales enemies in the game to your level.

We have a huge pivot underway here at Epic, moving developers around to retool for maximum AI acceleration.
The aim isn't to do the same stuff with fewer people, but to enable everyone here to build MORE and BETTER stuff, and to bring the benefits to all teams using Unreal.

So in short, all games may become always-online. Even single-player games. Does that mean modding scene could come to an end?
No it will not lead to gaming companies all pushing cloud streaming.
That’s WAY too expensive to operate and leads to a worse play experience.
The solution is much simpler: more logic will happen serverside, even for games that are mainly singleplayer.
Imagine if every loot drop in a singleplayer game is determined by a serverside algorithm that the customer never sees. That kinda thing.
Could even extend to AI behaviors, if the dev is feeling really spicy.

Honestly, the more skin options, the better. & I can confidently say that many players want to play dress-up with these characters.

THE FINALS is getting its biggest destruction update since launch this month!
The Dynamism upgrade introduces a gradual destruction layer in the game's maps, allowing building parts to hinge, twist, and sag rather than instantly detaching.

If every game has granular gameplay settings that can significantly alter the game just like graphics settings on PC, that would make me happy.
I think it’s meaningful that FFVII REVELATION’s accessibility features have sparked a broader discussion around player experience and game design. While developers continue to pursue what they believe is the ideal game balance, how to provide options that allow different players to enjoy a game in the way that suits them best has become one of the major topics in recent years.

The Witcher 3 Remastered (Switch 2) is free if you borrow a physical Switch 1 copy somewhere, like a public library or a friend (cart not needed after claiming free Remastered copy through the in-game menu)

I guess if we purely see it from the revenue perspective, one could argue Activision are one of the better ones. Though it's hard to say if revenue has ever been a problem for the IP.

More options are always good, as long those options are robust & well realised.
In REVELATION, we've included more on-screen guidance than in our previous titles so that even players who are not familiar with open-world games can enjoy the experience without getting lost. By following that guidance, players can naturally explore the world as it gradually opens up, revealing new places to discover and more things to do.At the same time, some experienced open-world players have told us that the guidance can feel a bit too strong. Because of that feedback, we're also considering options that would allow players to customize how guidance is presented.

We need to have a serious discussion about how games used to be a unique method to teach kids & teens about patience, delayed gratification, and working hard to accomplish a goal - and now we're designing away the need to persevere at all. You will learn to overcome nothing.
