I went to this new coffee shop in Mission Bay, Waters Edge. loved the vibe. Went with two more friends. The coffee was amazing, the guy at counter was so happy. However, the lady making the coffee was condescending and rude to us. Make 3 snide remarks in less than a minute. We all observed it. Left a bad taste in our mouths. Then we went to arsicault to get croissants and again discussed. On coming home, one of us mentioned we should have countered her and told her straight on face. I was thinking that coffee and place is so so amazing, so maybe she had a bad day. Should we’ve countered her? Sure. But then should I go again because I loved the place? Should we let one employee destroy a business? Should a business suffer because of one person? It’s a 2 month old shop, beautifully designed. Someone had put their heart into it. Maybe they missed out on hiring people with great attitude? Cafes are supposed to do that. Or maybe this was a one-off incident? Maybe they should get another chance to get my business? As an entrepreneur, I want to support businesses. As a human, I’m willing to let go. However, as someone bringing their friends along, I’m like - wtf, this place is risky. Lesson - go to cafes you know well. Bring friends to cafes you know. Try new stuff alone. If you’re hiring customer service people, gauge their vibes. If your vibes are off, don’t throw it on other people. End of lesson 😄

My uber driver had a box of candies and a cheerful attitude. No wonder, he has over 10k 5-star trips. If you’re an uber driver, be like him.

It rains and all the trees become greener. Dirt vanishes away. Cars get brighter, outdoor furniture gets a good splash. Hot food becomes desirable. Clouds dance and flirt with earth, can send showers down anytime. Nature at play. When such a phenomena exists, how can you go around with belief that life is meaningless as AI is going to take over everything? Look up in the sky, away from your phone.

So, this is quite interesting. @LucidMunjal went on to hypnotize @felcheck. LIVE. This was followed by a group hypnosis session. Even if you're a skeptic like me, it is worth experiencing/watching.

Had an interesting conversation with @LucidMunjal in SF. We talked about multiple things : - investing. billionaire whisperer. how to spot the next big thing - hypnosis as a tool to unshackle yourself - how he went through mid-life crises, - why hypnotherapy >> psychedlics - how to get over fears, traumas after the fireside chat, we had a Q/A followed by 1-1 hypnosis with @felcheck. Uploading part 2 after this. This was followed by a group hypnosis session which was mindblowing. Haven't posted the video due to privacy concerns but let's just say - most of us in the room were skeptics but came out believers/agnostic. Enjoy the content!

This is a pic with 1/3 of group that joined today for Hypnosis event with @LucidMunjal - I went in skeptical. But my mind was blown by the end - we started with a fireside chat, Q-A. Talked about hypnosis, talk therapy, psychedelics, meditation, telepathy, investing, recognizing future billionaires, mind reading, startups, founder psychology and more - all of us had different levels of experience/belief in hypnosis. Open minded discussion and debate Then the real thing started. @felcheck offered to be a subject for a live hypnosis. 1-1. And then Munjal offered a group hypnosis. Past life regression. Sounds like voodoo but what happened next is indescribable - the entire group experienced a hypnotic state. In my mind, I saw so many things and experiences (happy to talk in-person). Others too experienced stuff they had never seen. We thought it was 20 min, were shocked to learn that group hypnosis ran for an hour. Time distortion is real! Highly recommend everyone to connect with @LucidMunjal if you’re interested in this topic. He has a gift and can make hypnosis happen to anyone. Glad and grateful I got to experience such a wonderful thing today. Thanks to @getak100 and entire Inkle team for giving us such a lovely venue to host this. Thanks to everyone who showed up. It was quite an experience. I might host another intimate experience with Munjal. DM if you’re interested and I’ll invite you to the next one. Thanks to @rachnabafna and Amneet for their support in making this happen. Hypnosis is real. V powerful. You can instantly get in an altered state and realise you’re beyond this mind and body (you’re a soul?). It’s an amazing tool to unlock things and require patterns. Done under a right coach, it can make you invincible, kind, happy and creative. video coming soon!

Attended a sound bath session at @ycombinator Reboot and experienced a strange sensation. Talking to fellow YC founders made me realise that some went into a state of trance. Posted this experience on X and a friend told me he's a trained hypnotherapist from last 10 years and HYPNOSIS IS REAL! I am a founder, a man of science. Skeptical of such claims but my friend is legit. So, I am hosting this intimate event with him to explore this domain. Link - luma.com/r6lmqlg9

This is my 4th Reboot - an annual unofficial @ycombinator retreat in Northern California. In middle of 200 acres of majestic redwoods. Around 100 YC founders join. We’ve some mindblowing guest speakers, unicorn founders and legendary people. So many deep conversations, insights, inspirations, stories, connections. You understand community, universe and culture. You see Milky Way and sleep under the stars. You understand the beauty of friendship, the gift/curse of ambition, importance of kindness and role of luck. No topic is holy, everything under the sun gets discussed. You come with an open mind, you leave with an enlightened mind and boundless energy.

I was meeting my friend @gragtah and my Uber got late. I reached Caltrain station at 2.26 pm, the time it was supposed to depart was 2.25 pm. The screen showed - ‘departing’. Another person who was running towards station pointed to screen and left. Gave me looks to go back too. I ran to the platform, waived my arms with puppy face and they let me in. And 10 other people too who were waiting outside. You can just do things 🤣🤣

Happy 250th 🇺🇸 I love this country. Everything is HUGE here - food portions, cars, buildings, bridges, dreams, ambitions, talent, events, stadiums, billboards and hearts.

You’ll find people from all walks of life and nationalities. The energy, abundance, enthusiasm, creativity, optimism and ambition in the air is infectious and makes you feel that everything is possible. The system rewards people to be and do whatever they want to. Meritocracy in the truest sense. God bless America!

I spent a summer in Brooklyn and lost 4 kgs. Just by walking! The streets are beautiful, shops open up late, vibe is electric, coffee is world class. Go to Domino park or just walk on Metropolitan Ave. So much to do, so much to see, you can never get bored here. Many days, I'd take calls with team while walking across Williamsburg bridge to Manhattan. I clocked 30k+ steps on a lot of days. If you want to experience a happy, healthy and hip America, I'd recommend you to spend a summer in Williamsburg. The only caveat - you won't enjoy any other US city as much after this.

Punjab is suffering due to floods. Villages have drowned, crops destroyed, cattles killed, homes washed away. It’s a massive disaster but Punjabis are still in high spirits. The ones who have lost material things still retain the positive energy and are helping each other. Punjabis across the world are donating and helping fellow Punjabis. The community of Sikhs and Punjabis is super resilient. Why? - Historically, Punjabis have seen a lot. Invasions, attacks, partition that killed millions. Problems aren’t new to us. When you suffer hardships, you become stronger. It passes through generations and the spirit remains stronger. - Culture. The Punjabi culture celebrates bravery, heroism, courage, selflessness, service and sacrifice. Community before self is core here. Langars started by Guru Nanak 500 years ago still feed millions. This shapes how the community sees itself and how it responds to calamities. - Self confidence. It’s quite evident. Punjabis ruled the land. They’ve big hearts. They have warrior mentality and are literal warriors. The kids are well built and sons of soil. They were the earliest immigrants from South Asia and have done pretty well for themselves across the world. Leadership comes naturally. Charity comes naturally. And when you punch above your weight, the confidence keeps you going. This time too, Punjabis shall overcome. If you love the community and want to help in rebuilding Punjab, consider donating to @theglobalsikhs and NGOs run by @SonuSood @diljitdosanjh @SufiSartaaj and @Khalsa_Aid

Traveled from Del to SFO on @airindia, Boeing 777 today. Clean, new plane. Screens were working. Delicious food. While taking off, the plane went through turbulence as there was lightening in the sky. I looked around and everyone had closed their eyes. No tantrums, no noises on the plane. The staff went extra mile to ensure everyone was comfortable.
