Had some great Vietnamese food and an even better conversation with @yang_mingshan. I first came across @yang_mingshan about five years ago, when I was learning about WeChat Mini Programs. Back then, I never thought we’d ever have any reason to cross paths. And somehow, five years later, we ended up meeting in Singapore today. Life’s funny like that :)

In the next version of Rolldown, manual code splitting that relies heavily on JS logic can be up to 4x faster, with up to 34% lower memory usage.

@rolldown_rs has a new RFC: "Progressive Module Runtime and codeSplitting.inlineCommonChunks" This is a fundamental enhancement to Rolldown's chunking capabilities. It allows Rolldown to reduce the number of small chunks by inlining them into the entries that consume them. Since this changes chunking behavior, it may also have an impact on the @vite_js ecosystem. We'd love your feedback. Please leave your thoughts in the discussion: github.com/rolldown/rolldown…

Happy to share that we've finally resolved one Rolldown's earliest issue related WASI. We now run Rolldown's full test suite against the WASI target. Huge thanks to @napi_rs and the man behind @Brooooook_lyn — the DX is so good that adding WASI support feels almost like just another build flag.

9 new contributors in this @rolldown_rs's release. Thank you all.
Rolldown v1.2.1 is out 🎉 - Fix missing `__toESM` for re-exported CJS externals in CJS output - Fix `undefined` default import from CJS deps that fake `__esModule` - Fix `ERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND` for dynamic `import()` with a second argument - Fix crash bundling a `sideEffects: false` dynamic dep with `codeSplitting` groups - Support Rollup's `resolveFileUrl` hook to customize emitted file URLs - More bug fixes and improvements More and more people are contributing to Rolldown! Thanks for the contributions and support, and new contributors are always welcome! 🙏 github.com/rolldown/rolldown…

I polished the Project Context Records README and added a diagram to illustrate the workflow. I now use PCR for pretty much any long-running task I want an agent to tackle autonomously, without constant supervision. The whole methodology is simple enough that all you need to do is copy a single block of text into your AGENTS.md file.

Been digging into perf on vinext.dev lately, and the early numbers are wild. - Production build time drops 32–52% - dev-server cold start 67–83% and it scales! the bigger the app, the bigger the win.

machud is deliberately opinionated: - One curated dashboard, nothing to configure - Light and dark follow your Mac - Tuned for Apple Silicon - 55 KB bundle, 11 KB gzipped

Recently I've been using a small methodology I call: "Project Context Records". Most of what matters about a project never makes it into the code: the decisions, the trade-offs, why it's built this way. It stays in your head, and an AI agent starts every session without it. PCR keeps what lives outside the code, the decisions and trade-offs behind it, in the repo.

Oh and I did end up building the coding agent. It's in the examples. ~200 lines of Vue, one bash tool, powered by DeepSeek. It keeps insisting it's Claude though😂. github.com/vuejs-ai/vue-tui/…

I wanted to build a toy coding agent. Started by looking into the TUI layer. That rabbit hole turned into a full terminal UI framework. - Write Vue components for the terminal. - Develop them with Vite HMR. Meet VUE-TUI: github.com/vuejs-ai/vue-tui
Been bored lately, so I'm gonna build a toy coding agent. Kicking off with the TUI layer!

POV: my boss in build mode the past two weeks. Besides VitePlus, something else starting with V is coming soon🫣.
I think I am designing something truly unique right now... I might be too high from the continuous dopamine hit from agents turning my crazy ideas into code in 10 minutes. But like this is genuinely good stuff.

In the next version of @rolldown_rs. ``` rolldown --moduleTypes .node=copy ``` Copies matched modules as-is, emits them to the output directory, and rewrites imports to reference the copied file.

Good job! We're building something for tsdown using Node.js SEA!
Landed initial ESM support in Node.js SEA: github.com/nodejs/node/pull/… Similar to CJS entrypoints, it currently can only import builtins, so generally require bundling. Though @matteocollina is working on support for VFS in SEA that will unlock loading other modules within SEA

Saving 200$ for next round. Glad I don't need to worry about the ban anymore. Back to opencode again.
Claude Opus 4.6 is really bad, I urge everyone to try Codex, buy the $20 plan first. 4.6 is really slow, burns tons of tokens, and is pretty dumb 😀

I kept running into the same annoyance: every time I wanted to open VS Code when using claude code, I had to spin up an extra terminal just to run `code ./`. So I built a `/code` skill that lets the coding agent open VS Code for the current project directly—no extra terminal needed. Quick install: npx skills add hyf0/skills -g --all --skill code

With an explicit extra "apply vue best practices skills, ..." or even even a simple "use vue skill, ...", haiku could produce a correct result.
