Janis Berzemnieks, another Reform UK Councillor in Sunderland that hasn't declared employment. Reform UK's Janis Berzemnieks, a Sunderland councillor elected in May 2026, declared "None" under employment on his official Register of Interests. Yet his LinkedIn profile reportedly identifies him as a Team Leader at GXO Logistics (he also has another LinkedIn profile also saying he works for GXO). linkedin.com/in/janis-berzem… Sunderland Council's rules require councillors to declare paid employment and identify their employer. Failure to register a disclosable pecuniary interest without reasonable excuse can constitute a criminal offence under the Localism Act 2011. Was Berzemnieks employed by GXO when he submitted his declaration, and if so, why wasn't it disclosed? @SunderlandUK's Monitoring Officer should be asking @ReformUkWear and @CllrChrisEynon, why they are failing to declare employment? This is the 4th councillor we've identified that has conceiled business interests. Heather Finlay still hasn't updated her ROI with the 3rd business interest.

The very earliest Jewish settlers escaping Russian pogroms in 1882 openly proclaimed their plan to build a Jewish state in Ottoman Palestine by colonising it at which time Jews were less than 2% of the Pal population. It was hard going for the Jewish colonists until after WW1 when the Brits took over and gave them a helping hand.
Replying to @SarahHelm1
Which country actually colonized Palestine—other than the British or the Ottoman Empire? The early Zionist arrivals were Jewish immigrants escaping Europe, not an imperial nation sending settlers to conquer the globe. After all, you support immigration, right?

Thanks for trying, Jeremy Corbyn. I hope we do eventually see an inquiry, because what we've just witnessed in Gaza has got to be one of the biggest crimes against humanity in my lifetime, and our own government played a part in it.

@jeremycorbyn will go down in history as a man of integrity and truth. Starmer, Burham, and the Labour Party represent this will go down as horrific failures.

There's only one reason Andy Burnham would reject an investigation into Britain's part in the genocide in Gaza - to cover the government's guilt. We also need an investigation into Britain's role in Yemen.

His chancellor ordered this spy plane to fly over Gaza to collect intel for the genocidal Israeli military, with the information imparted in real-time Of course Burnham doesn’t want an inquiry. His number 2 belongs in the Hague. We will not stop exposing the Labour génocidaires
NEW: Andy Burnham has officially rejected Jeremy Corbyn's call for a public inquiry into "British complicity" in Gaza. The former Labour leader wrote to the PM in July asking him to back his Private Member's Bill for a Chilcot-style inquiry, which would look at any UK military, economic or political cooperation with Israel since October 2023. This would include the power to question ministers on the supply or use of weapons, surveillance aircraft and Royal Air Force bases. The idea was rejected by Starmer. The govt have confirmed in response to a written question today that their position remains unchanged under Burnham, saying an inquiry isn't necessary due to the "extensive mechanisms already available for parliamentary accountability and oversight". Corbyn said:“Andy Burnham rightly said that the last Labour government “got it wrong” over Gaza. But his words will mean very little if he doesn’t break with the last government’s shameful record of complicity, secrecy and evasion. "Many of us will remember in the aftermath of Iraq, the government of the day spent many years resisting attempts to uncover the truth. In the end, they could not prevent the inevitable. Just like Iraq, we will remember those who obstructed the path to justice."

When Labour conspired to get Starmer out, and @andyburnham told us all that Labour were wrong on Gaza, we were right, and, we had a right to be angry, and, he gets it, wtf did he actually mean? Nothing has changed

The Labour politician who voted against an inquiry into the Iraq War & UK involvement has voted against an inquiry into British complicity in Israel's genocide in Gaza? We're shocked @andyburnham 💅

The government has officially blocked my call for a public inquiry into Britain's role in Gaza. Delaying scrutiny will not make questions about British complicity in genocide disappear - and we will never give up until we have brought about justice for the Palestinian people.

Well, Burnham supported the Iraq War and voted against holding an inquiry into Britain's role. So, no surprise here.

Why is Andy Burnham following in Keir Starmer's footsteps on this? We deserve to know **exactly** what military, economic & diplomatic support & assistance has been rendered by our government, in our name, to Israel over three years of genocide

This is seriously amazingly cool work. He's being given all out attack from the presenter and the panelists and he just dons it out.
Went on BBC Politics Live to discuss why Zionism is a racist ideology. The anchor and all three panelists looked like they were about to cry at the end. Very weird behaviour. Join the Green Party.

The political and media classes in this country are militating against the words “Zionism is racism” far more passionately than they ever did against the actual Zionist genocide in Gaza. Children were killed on an industrial scale in the cause of Zionism.
