For nearly 50 years, MIT professor and licensed clinical psychologist Sherry Turkle has studied how #technology affects the way we relate to one another. Her newest book, Artificial Intimacy, tackles a question that could fundamentally change the #workplace: If #AI can listen, encourage, coach and reassure employees, what happens to the human relationship between a manager and their people? I asked Sherry what gets lost when we let machines take over those roles. I hope you'll listen in! #Leadership #Work #EmployeeWellBeing #HR #FutureOfWork #Management buff.ly/bsyquu6

JAKi will change the paradigm in management in LMICs
🩺 JAK inhibitors are effective and safe rescue therapies for ASUC across short-, intermediate-, and long-term follow-up. Tofacitinib and Upadacitinib showed similar outcomes. 📊💊 @DrAnuraagJ @ibdseb @drvishal82 🔗: ow.ly/OzSu50ZyWyb

A satellite-tagged bar-tailed godwit set the record for the longest nonstop bird migration, flying about 13,560 km (8,425 miles) from Alaska to Tasmania in roughly 11 days without stopping for food, water, or rest. To power the journey, godwits build massive fat reserves before departure and even shrink some internal organs during flight to reduce weight and energy use, an extreme adaptation for long-distance migration across the Pacific. #Migration #Wildlife #Birds #Biology #NatureScience

One of my endoscopy heroes, Prateek Sharma, was presented the prestigious Padma Shri for his devoted contributions to the field of gastroenterology. What an inspiration to all of us—and a reminder to me that dedication, humility, and a lifelong commitment to advancing patient care can leave an impact far beyond our own practices. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor.

Ultrasound has long been the standard for HCC surveillance in cirrhosis. These results suggest that may be worth revisiting. A prospective trial comparing non-contrast abbreviated MRI to ultrasound in 404 cirrhotic patients found sensitivity of 94.6% vs. 51.4%, with 97.3% of MRI-detected HCCs caught at early stage. Research like this is reshaping how surveillance gets approached, At #TLM26, attendees will also have opportunities to build hands-on imaging and liver POCUS skills through dedicated workshop programming designed to support real-world clinical practice.
