People seem eager to want to ditch their favorite ORM, but I've already been using Prisma 8 with raw sql where it makes sense. Even if you go raw-sql-only, @prisma is a terrific contract layer and isn't going anywhere.
in a lot of ways, Reylo obviates the entire "ORMs vs SQL" debate ✅ zero codegen ✅ fully inferred: totally DRY ✅ maximum expressiveness: CTEs, window fns, subqueries...the full power of SQL and with agents, it doesn't matter that SQL syntax is a monstrosity 😅

Of course, ORMs already support raw SQL statements. Excitingly, Reylo is a promise as to what it to come to ORMs. I remember how excited I was when typed SQL came to Prisma. Now, it's clear we're certainly going to get an even better version of this.

The argument being made that Reylo will replace ORMs actually isn't an argument that can be made strongly against Prisma 8, which was built for this future. In due time, it won't be an argument at all. Of course, much thanks to @colinhacks for showing the world the way.

I've been using @alchemy_run now for nearly a year and I have to say that it's life-changing. I can't imagine deploying without it at this point.

I’ve been watching actual combat footage from WW2 and it’s completely arresting. It makes it easy to understand why there has been so much fascination with it. It’s left out of almost all WW2 media because it’s too real

Good grief… this is borderline resignation stuff, surely? Hard to imagine a dumber, more offensive thing to do on that day.

I'm surprised kvass never took off in the U.S. Very solid drink IMHO.
