As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment" - Donations dried up - Volunteers were devastated and pleading for guidance on what to do - Reporters hounded me with calls to drop out Sure, a point was proven. Polling is broken. But tens of thousands of people poured their hearts, time, energy, hard-earned money into something they believed in - for a year-and-a-half, and it was treated like a game. Our volunteers gave their all. And then some. I felt like I had let so many of them down. To be extremely clear, Michigan Democrats are locked in to beat Mike Rogers. We WILL send @AbdulElSayed to the US Senate. But between crap like this, endless fundraising texts that drive supporters away with spammy fake deadlines and trash "match" claims, scam PACs run rampant for firms to grift without actually supporting candidates, undisclosed content creators pushing content out either misrepresenting themselves as residents of states they don't live in or hiding whether they were paid and by who so they could make a buck, and the tidal wave of dark money ads -- I hope Democrats are ready to blow up the system with campaign finance and transparency reforms. Trust is already at an all-time low. We don't get out of this mess without rebuilding trust. And media - who loves to ride the drama of a pollercoaster - needs to take a hard look at what's legitimate and what's not. If this teaches us anything - DON'T GET COMPLACENT AND DON'T TRUST THE POLLS. LOCK IN. SIGN UP FOR A CANVASSING SHIFT. LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent appeared on Meet the Press and asked “Where is Germany?” when discussing Patriot fire units and missiles for Ukraine. The ignorance on display demanded an immediate fact check. Germany has delivered more complete MIM-104 Patriot fire units to Ukraine than the United States. Roughly half of all Patriot systems now defending Ukrainian skies came from Bundeswehr stocks. Between 2023 and 2025 Berlin transferred five fully equipped fire units, plus additional launchers and what is believed to be a spare radar. Germany began supplying Patriots at the same time as the US and has never stopped. Washington halted those transfers long ago. The interceptors tell an even clearer story. With every fire unit Germany shipped dedicated missile packages, including one of 100 and another of 64. These kept the systems operational in the critical early phase. In February 2025 the German Ministry of Defence confirmed it had already delivered 328 Patriot missiles of various types. That figure came before the final two fire units, before multiple PURL and JUMPSTART tranches, and before several smaller direct transfers from German stocks. The total number of financed and delivered Patriot interceptors from Germany now easily exceeds 500. Since President Trump took office Germany has repeatedly taken the lead in organising, financing, and delivering new Patriot munitions to Ukraine. In February 2026 Berlin spent weeks negotiating with multiple partners until more than 30 PAC-3 missiles reached Ukraine. German officials have also conducted high-level talks with Spain and Greece to unlock additional stocks. Berlin does far more than broker transfers. It pays Washington directly for American-made missiles. In June 2026 alone Germany committed 200 million dollars through JUMPSTART and another 200 million through PURL for PAC-3 and other variants. Total German contributions across these channels now surpass 1 billion dollars. In other words, Sec. Bessent, we are the ones funding the very missiles you claim America is generously providing. In April 2026 Germany announced its largest single commitment yet: 3.2 billion euros to procure and deliver 600 PAC-2 GEM-T interceptors for Ukraine’s Patriots. These missiles are manufactured in Germany. The numbers are clear. Germany has outdelivered the United States on complete Patriot fire units. Germany has supplied the majority of the missiles keeping those systems alive. Germany continues to organise urgent packages when Washington does not. And Germany pays Washington hundreds of millions of dollars for American missiles that are then sent to Ukraine. So the next time a senior American official asks “Where is Germany?” on national television, the answer is simple. Germany is doing more for Ukraine’s air defence than the United States, while simultaneously paying your bills. The question now is where Germany stands. The question is why Washington keeps pretending it is carrying a load it long ago dropped.
