Hot take: if your app has to do a network request to become interactive or useful, it’s not an app. It’s a glorified bookmark.

It's finally here! So many thoughts/feelings I couldn't fit them in the blog post but its crazy to think after so much work this is only the beginning.
🚨 Solid 2.0 has reached Release Candidate! 🎉🥳 Async is first-class — computations return promises, the graph suspends and resumes itself. Plus optimistic mutations and a reactive core rebuilt from scratch. The Big <Reveal> 👇 solidjs.com/blog/solid-2-0-r… 1/3

Me: hey Claude, can you figure out where these 'yes' processes that are murdering my battery are coming from? Claude: ...oh, that was me.

Given how many "masterclasses" I've apparently been taking lately, I expect to be awarded my master's degree any day now.

My #1 gripe with AI right now: vibe-coded interfaces that spontaneously erase paragraphs of a carefully written prompt because you accidentally press the up arrow one too many times.

Good UI design principle in general: treat long-form user input as sacred. Auto-save it. Ask before navigating in ways that would destroy it. They put their time and effort into interacting with your app - respect that.

It's fantastic to see how much effort the @angular team puts into being both backward- and forward-compatible when introducing new features. With this, custom controls written for Signal Forms can also be used with Reactive Forms and Template-driven Forms. It just works™️

I replaced my mom's aging 2017 Macbook for Christmas, with an M4 Macbook Air. She loves it, with one exception. She used to put her hands under the old computer to keep them nice and warm, but that doesn't work with the new one. xkcd.com/1172
