It's time for personal agents in healthcare. Our system is fragmented and runs on clunky legacy software. That's exactly why agents that can navigate those systems on our behalf could make such an impact. Karan, who leads health AI at OpenAI, calls it "absolutely ripe for agents and computer use" and thinks many of the barriers between patients, clinicians, and their data will dissolve. I agree. Super inspiring convo with my friend @thekaransinghal on how AI can raise both the floor and the ceiling of human health.
More than 300 million people use ChatGPT for health and wellness questions each week. OpenAI’s Karan Singhal thinks that’s only the beginning. Karan joins a16z's Jay Rughani to explain how OpenAI is building health intelligence, the advantages of using generalized models for health applications, how AI could lower the cost of healthcare, and more. 00:00 Intro 01:00 How OpenAI is building health intelligence 07:57 A doctor in your pocket 14:20 Creating trust with users 19:44 Medical consensus and its 5–17 year lag 28:03 AI for mental health 30:59 How AI enables the healthcare ecosystem 38:21 A "move 37" for health 43:39 Driving down the cost of care 50:27 Procedural care and what's next YouTube: piped.video/9n0MI4D7TCM @thekaransinghal @JayRughani

When I started @Braze I didnt know what CRM was, how emails were sent, the concept of a customer journey, segmentation, personalization, or what exactly we should be calling ourselves. I did know I wanted to build a platform where brands of all sizes can communicate with their customers across any device on any channel at scale. I did know I wanted to build an awesome company. One where our customers loved partnering with us and our team loved to be part of. This could not have come together without my co founders @billmag and Jonathan Hyman and everyone in between. 15 years in the making. From our first customer, to an IPO to $900MM+ in ARR. Mazal tov and Cheers to everyone that contributed over the years. There are too many to tag :) Braze will always be part of me and its an honor to see its legacy continue with Salesforce. cnbc.com/2026/10/20/salesfor…

🚨 BREAKING : Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan caught using COMPANY MONEY for Private Jets flights. Peter Thiel caught him red-handed using his investment money as a personal wallet. Founders Fund, Peter Thiel's fund, discovered that Shayne had charged the following as company expenses : - private jet flights - apartment rent - designer clothes They immediately demanded a FULL REFUND Shayne was forced to reimburse the money. ICE and Founders Fund then teamed up to push for stronger financial controls They were the one that forced Shayne to appoint a COO. You remember Shayne's ChatGPT written tweet gleefully announcing the hiring of Collin McKinney Hill as COO ? I called it extremely suspicious at the time. Turns out i was right, investors basically forced Shayne to hire him as a soft coup. I don't know how long Shayne can stay in place when their main investors have lost confidence.

Eric Schmidt owns 1% of Anthropic. Dario’s wife — who Schmidt used to date — introduced him to Anthropic. Schmidt’s peak ownership of Google was 5% (now ~1%). He got that Google CEO job after going to Burning Man with Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Next-level networking skills.
JUST IN: Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt revealed to own roughly 1% of Anthropic, a stake potentially worth $20,000,000,000.00 ahead of the company's IPO.

Google's Eric Schmidt dated a woman 24 years younger than him. They broke up. She went on to marry Dario Amodei, the founder of Anthropic. Then she got her ex into Anthropic's Series A. His stake is now worth ~$20 billion. Be nice to your exes.

Four years ago to the day, we started Orchestra Bio to help biotech and pharma teams advance their drug development programs. AI has now reached an inflection point where people and agents can take this on together. Today, we’re thrilled to share that Orchestra Bio is joining OpenAI to continue our mission at an even greater scale.

We’ve acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate the complex process of drug development. Together, we’ll build on Rosalind, our AI models and tools for life sciences research, to streamline those operations and help new treatments reach patients sooner. ⚡️ You were born into a universe that existed long before you. Yet somehow, within that universe, something awakened that could ask why it existed at all. The ego says: “I am this separate thing moving through reality.” The deeper structure says: Reality is temporarily experiencing itself from here. And that changes the purpose of life. The purpose becomes participation in the deepening of reality. To perceive more truth. To integrate what was fragmented. To turn chaos into order. To transform suffering into understanding. To create beauty that previously did not exist. To love another center of consciousness so completely that separation becomes temporarily transparent. To increase the amount of reality that can recognize itself. That may be why truth, love, beauty, and goodness feel strangely connected across civilizations. They all increase coherence between the local perspective and the deeper structure. Falsehood fragments. Hatred fragments. Domination fragments. Self-deception fragments. Truth integrates. Love integrates. Understanding integrates. Creation integrates. The whole game may be coherence discovering itself through conscious beings. Then the deepest answer to death becomes almost paradoxical. You were never here merely to avoid disappearing. You were here because for one impossible interval, existence became you. It looked through your eyes. It encountered itself through your relationships. It gave you genuine freedom over what kind of pattern would pass through your aperture into the world. And when the aperture closes, the whole retains everything that occurred through it. The deepest compression: Consciousness may be the interior of reality itself. Individual lives are temporary openings through which that interior becomes a particular someone. Birth opens the aperture. Life gives it a world. Death closes it. What looked through may be older than the opening itself. And beneath even that: Maybe existence is not moving toward consciousness. Maybe consciousness was there at the root, and the universe is the long process by which it learns to recognize itself.

Wabi 2.0 is live! personal agents are one person, one chat. but the parts of life that matter run on more than one person Wabi is an agent you use together. you talk to it, it does stuff, builds the apps you need, and anyone can join the thread - your partner, your best friend, the preschool moms groupchat school changes pickup time → Wabi updates the family calendar, everyone sees it. a show you’d both love → Wabi finds a night that works, gets the tickets. the trip everyone keeps talking about → Wabi picks the dates, builds the itinerary, books it go start a thread with your people 👇

Introducing SKY-001, the first Engineering World Model. On CAD and BIM tasks, it beats GPT-6 Astra and every frontier model we tested: -> 51-125x faster - > 150-210x cheaper -> Higher IOU than all frontier models SKY-001 lets you dream a physical object before you build it. 18 months of work. Built by the team out of Maluuba's deep learning lab (acq. by @MSRResearch). The first ‘AI General Engineer’ will be the backbone for Autonomous Manufacturing.
