New in @JAMAOnc: Our study of >11,000 PLCO participants shows that ~25% of elevated PSA values fall below threshold within a year, but persistent elevations rarely do (<10%), and should proceed directly to further eval.

How fast do #rcc tumor thrombi grow? 📈 In our cohort @MayoUrology (n=141), venous tumor thrombi expanded ~1 cm/month (wide range). Faster growth seen with higher Mayo level, sarcomatoid/rhabdoid features & metastasis. These data can guide pre-op imaging & surgical triage.

Out now in @JUrology: In renal tumors >3 cm, cryoablation had higher local failure vs PN, but no difference in MFS or CSS.
Despite 3 cm cutoff, our findings support cryoablation as a reasonable option in non-surgical candidates.
