btw 'End of Signal', the show by @DrawingMoving curated with Sofia Enriquez is still on view at SOLO CSV until this Saturday!!!!

Looking back at @DrawingMoving's "End of Signal" at HALLEN 07, presented for the first time in this form. A custom-built timber structure brought "A Field Guide to Orbital Melancholy" and works from "Known Surfaces" together as one installation at Wilhelm Hallen during @BerlinArtWeek

This summer, Gray Area & @modal put out a global call for artificial intelligence-enabled artworks exploring the realities unlocked by scaling computation. 200+ submissions later, we're thrilled to announce the 13 recipients of this landmark commission: @CezarMocan @colin_odonnell + Justine Sun Dela Cruz + Will Gardiner @graysonearle @ideeplistening @iragreenberg @TinaPulejkova @xMiguelNovelo @pkmital @rashedhaq Sasha Sorokina @spencerc99 Each artist receives a stipend, materials budget, production support, and $20K in Modal cloud credits. Follow along as new works take shape and join us in October for the debut presentation at Gray Area. Opening October 28, 2026 and running through November 1. Every image has a provenance. Arcadia Inc: IPO by @DrawingMoving explores the commodification of nature through computer generated landscape photography. Set within a work of speculative fiction, the series imagines a new model for producing the kinds of nature images that shape contemporary visual culture: landscapes photographed by virtual beings inside a real time simulation. 🧵👇

End of Signal-Cezar Mocan exhibition at SOLO CSV at @coevalmagazine

Onkaos presents End of Signal, a new exhibition by Cezar Mocan, winner of the SOLO AI’25 Award. Combining satellite imagery, remote sensing technologies and real-time simulations, the exhibition examines contemporary systems of observation and the technologies that shape how we perceive the world. 📍 SOLO CSV, Madrid 🗓️ Open until November

‘End of Signal’, the exhibition of @DrawingMoving, winner of the SOLO AI ‘25 AWARD, opens at SOLO CSV on 11 June. Through satellite imaging, speculative narration and machine perception, the project explores contemporary regimes of observation and the unstable relationship between data, truth, uncertainty and lived experience.

"Cezar Mocan’s Non-Playable Worlds" @guymyguymyguy interviews @DrawingMoving Published by @arabbankCH "End of Signal is a new extended project I’m working on about a satellite that becomes an unreliable narrator of on-the-ground reality. One piece within the project—what I’m working on at the moment—is my first digital simulation that isn’t built in a game engine but rather through an AI model, a fine-tuned diffusion model. I’d been looking at phantom islands, places from the history of cartography that were discovered and then had to be undiscovered, because they didn’t actually exist, but persisted on maps for decades or centuries before being removed. They felt like highly relevant precedents for the unreliable satellite." ↓ Link to the full interview

For the first time, the Digital Art Prize unfolds as a thematic exhibition format — bringing works from the ABS collection into dialogue with the three finalists of the prize. Artists presented in this year’s SYSTEMS exhibition include Kim Asendorf (@kimasendorf), Viktoria Binschtok, Jack Butcher (@jackbutcher), Linda Dounia (@LindaDouniaR), Andreas Gysin (@andreasgysin), Larva Labs (@larvalabs), Cezar Mocan (@CezarMocan), Operator (@operator_______ ), Helena Sarin (@NeuralBricolage), and Paul Seidler (@brachlandberlin).
