Taught kids today about the new ‘Credits’ NFT collection by @jackbutcher. They each picked 4 different NFT’s out of the collection to draw. Afterwards we laid all 100 unique squares into one big mosaic and calculated how many different ways the whole thing can be arranged: 100! × 4⁹⁹ A 218-digit number. I won a CryptoPunk for $225 and I still can't believe it. I'd been following FWA since v1 back in July. When v2 rolled out, I watched the ETH backing the first Punk dropping daily. By Saturday it was down to 1 ETH. The odds were getting very favorable, and the math said somebody was going to hit it soon. So I'm sitting on the couch thinking, why not. I spun 13 times, mostly reclaiming ETH or stacking $FWA. Down to the last 0.1 ETH that I put in the wallet for the day, I spun once more for 0.0855 ETH. CryptoPunk #3498 pops out. Dark mohawk, horned rim glasses. One of about 8 with that exact combo out of all 10,000. (And apparently this was a 1 in 10k chance at the time!) Pure dumb luck. But luck shined on me that day, and I'm grateful. Thank you @Rhynotic and @token_works. Legends! My shiny new Punk going in the vault. I'm not selling. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but Punks are going to rip. Long-term believer.

To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on. The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure: The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd). Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back. To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU! We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times. And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest.
