This is a very good assessment of what happens when activists pose as journalists. The IAPP is a membership organisation that just about anyone can join. That's not a bona fide press credentials.
Bob, we’ve found your press credentials. Your publicly listed registration is with the International Association of Press Photographers (IAPP), a private, fee-paying membership organisation. That’s not accreditation from the UK Press Card Authority, and it doesn’t grant immunity from French law. You also publicly stated that you took to the streets of Paris to promote “remigration”. That’s political campaigning, not simply detached observation. You may have the right to report, protest and challenge police decisions. But your assertion that French officers acted illegally requires evidence. The legitimacy of seizing your gas mask must also be established. Bob, France hasn’t fallen. Your grip on reality might have. 320,000 people protested today over living costs, education and social conditions. Some clashes occurred, but the demonstrations were largely peaceful. And the media silence? AP, AFP, CBS, ITV, Euronews and Le Monde have ALL covered it. You’re not exposing a media blackout. You’re manufacturing a crisis by stripping away context. Sources: itv.com/news/2026-10-31/fren… euronews.com/2026/10/31/fran…
France has fallen. The rest of the West is next. Why isn’t the mainstream media reporting on this?

What? A twonk in a gas mask when there's no gas being used? Remind me when that's happening then. I'll be sure to ignore it.
This is what is coming to the UK This is what we have allowed. Tell me again how good open borders are and that its a faithful application of “love thy neighbour” Britain must resist this evil, her citizens must be ready for war.

It was literally on the main @BBCNews this evening
The riots are continuing well into the night. It’s absolutely ridiculous that none of the mainstream establishment media are covering what’s happening.

Imagine being the kind of person that uses a dead woman to deflect from the fact they've been censured for breaching the council's code of conduct.
Ann Widdecombe was right.

There's no "row" here - just rants from @Alexarmstrong and similarly unhinged @GBNEWS contributors. Why must they always create outrage where there is none?

1/ The key thing here is "bona-fide" journalists - which is precisely what @NUJofficial is there for. However, if you're thug that points a camera at migrants, threatening to "fold them in half" or "throw them in the water" then you deserve what's coming to you.
The NUJ will always defend the right of bona-fide newsgatherers to do their jobs without fear or obstruction.   Members covering protests and other public order events can find useful advice and emergency contacts on our website ⬇ nuj.org.uk/resource/advice-o…

2/ And yes, I make specific reference here to @AyAudits_c4n and others who label themselves as "journalists" - using credentials that can be bought online with no checks or balances - and go round intimidating people they dislike.

3/ Journalism and campaigning/activism can go hand in hand. But with that comes the responsibility to go about your newsgathering in an ethical and respectful manner. I would not classify riding about in a transit van with chicken wire on a French beach as being so.

Richard, @TiceRichard you’re free to express your honestly held view; as am I. However, freedom of expression isn’t unlimited. A libel court might take a different view of the false accusations of antisemitism you & @michaelgove have made against @declassifiedUK and the people (be they IYO journalists or activists ) who work there.
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about Sangita on this. Declassified are not journalists, they are antisemitic political activists Big difference

A reminder that Mr Farage himself said he "became involved in a physical altercation" at the State Opening of Parliament - that being the reason he did not attend the Budget (which has a completely different format anyway). So who is lying?
As the film from parliament shows @Nigel_Farage never pushed a woman MP. @theresa_may got it completely wrong when she said the Tories are seen as the 'nasty party'. That's the @LibDems

A very odd take from an elected representative who is so arrogant, he refuses to attend his own conduct panel hearing. This isn't about "old versus young". bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c674…
The way people pile on a young councillor who is only halfway through his second year is unbelievable. I understand older councillors believe this is an old man’s game and that my party should not even exist. Unfortunately for them, I am here, and so are my fellow young councillor colleagues. We have the grit and determination not to let these pile ons take us down. (And trust me I’ve been victim to a few…) I work hard for the people who elected me. I will continue to do so, no matter how many attacks come or how many people pray on my downfall. Reform exists because the old parties let us down. They let the country down time and time again and yet still believe they are entitled to another shot. They must be mad. I do not receive criticism for making mistakes or doing something wrong. I receive it because someone is offended. Well, I hate to break it to you, but you have the right to be offended and I have the right to offend. What I say is not controversial. I really don’t think it is. It is simply the feeling of millions across my country. That is why I am so proud of all our younger Reform councillors. Do not give up. No matter how many police investigations they try to throw at you, no matter how many death threats you get, no matter who turns on you, no matter if people betray you, no matter what the fake news says about you, no matter what some rigged standards committees say, you must be brutally persistent and ride the wave forward. We cannot afford to lose the momentum. We cannot pause halfway. We must keep pushing and keep going. We must be built different. We have to keep going and still be here fighting after everyone else has quit. Only the strongest submarines will make it to the bottom. When the enemy tries everything, weaponises systems, breaks every rule and tries everything it can to win? You can be sure. Your victory is coming.

Who knew Sue Cook could turn on the flamethrower when she needs to? Not a burn, more an incineration.
Surely not. One of the UK’s very best, most respected, most courageous and most astute journalists. That would be a shocking loss to the Telegraph. My subscription would stop at once. Tell me it’s not true.

Quite staggering. This is what he said, for context. Journalism students - this, if the ridiculous legal action ever made it to court (which it won’t) is an exceptionally easy use of the honest opinion defamation defence.
Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans. Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football. Nassef Sawiris, Chairman

Reader, he couldn't be bothered to attend the hearing, which roundly censured him. He has no respect for long established protocol in local government.
Hear the truth from me and not the press:

1/ The entire point of having senior specialist journalists in key fields is that they cover that sector in detail, providing measured and careful analysis and, frankly, brilliant storytelling. Now I get that in this case...

4/ It is in danger of slowly losing its unique talent - those experts who are the very definition of public service broadcasting that goes beyond the basic headlines. These specialists don't just "do the news"...

5/ They contribute to much wider parts of the BBC, including digital platforms, which the current DG seems obsessed with. If you don't have a Health Editor, who will write those long form analysis pieces, or present the useful explainers on complex matters? Madness.
