Elon is coming to Saguaro Man confirmed. This is where AZ holds their regional burn.

What?! Every time I try to get the normal harnesses to do anything involving spending money they refuse to do it. Existing board house account with an API key or something?

Trust me man, I’m on your side. ESA is one of the main reasons I still live here. I have 4 kids. But we have to be realistic.

Universal ESA was passed into law by the state congress. In what way does the Arizona state constitution mean that a new congress can’t pass a new law?

How are you thinking you can fight this? The anti-ESA people have a majority in both houses, and the governor.

They already sent a squad of antifa to starbase to shut it down. It’s over.

The fact that isn't on google maps at all is pretty cool.

The people criticizing her have likely never been in a situation more stressful than trying to make it to McDonald's before the 10:30am cutoff in their entire lives.

These new ones are roomy as hell though. My major gripe is that there are WAY too many screens in there. I don't need that many LCD screens.

I have no theory of mind for people who say things like this. It's not Elon Musk sitting alone in a hanger building the rockets, or the cars, or the satellites. There are thousands and thousands of the best engineers in the world accomplishing some of the most incredible feats in the history of engineering who are building this stuff. Is the idea that secretly *they're* all stupid? That they aren't building this stuff? What are the people who say stuff like this imagining happens at SpaceX? Who do they think works there?
My respect for Elon Musk has mostly vanished, but I still thought that at least he is a good engineer (Teslas are great cars). But that last bit also got a blow after hearing him say that it is easier to "cool things down" in space. The opposite is true. A vacuum is the best possible isolator. In space you can only dissipate heat through radiation. It is extremely unlikely these data centers in space will ever happen (and certainly not in our lifetimes).

We worked a bunch with Purdue students to build some really incredible/unique fire effects, then took them around the country to various music festivals. Purdue is badass.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

You're right! I think it's still the same effect though. In fact, maybe I was wrong and this is an effect of *CRT*s, and LEDs don't suffer the same problem, actually?

She was the copilot, and she spent the last few moments of her life calmly explaining to ATC where she was about to die so that they could send emergency services there in case they hit a house. It’s a horrible accident and she did her duty navigating and communicating so as to minimize damage until the very end. Godspeed.

Bad take. 1) She wasn’t the pilot in command. 2) She was obviously a huge aviation nerd who started flying in high school, that’s what this clip is about. We want MORE pilots like that, who are aviation obsessed like she clearly was, not just people who see pilot salaries and private jets and chase that.

Yeah and btw, this is basically "fake" UHC. MANY doctors simply don't accept it because it's not an employer plan. We've been cash paying ON TOP of this insane monthly bill to keep some of our doctors (kids pediatricians, mostly)
I think that the future of the grid is that there isn't a grid.

The Catholics routinely meet with the orthodox. Some of the orthodox have already rejoined the church and are called the Byzantine rite.
