I love solving complex technical problems. For the longest time, I thought my ability to code was what let me solve them.
For certain problems, that may still be true. But for most of them, is my experience and mindset that makes the difference, allowing me to direct LLMs to do it.
Amusingly enough, it was my work with LLMs over the last year and a half, watching them grow in sophistication and letting me do less of the coding drudgery and more of the solutions architecture, that led me to finally - after 21 years of professional employment - take a position as a manager.
Because I still get to solve awesome problems, still get to direct LLMs to code things for me, and have a great team to take on even bigger challenges.
It's not perfect, but as anyone can attest, neither are humans.
