This article articulates the issue with enterprise AI so clearly: the main reason AI pilots fail isn't even because of the AI. Most enterprises have piloted 3 or more AI projects in the last 12 months. Yet, you won't find any of them on their P&L. Why? - They built the AI model based on the SOP, but real processes have exceptions that can be 40% of the volume. - They thought a quicker W-9 review would improve vendor onboarding. It didn't. That process still takes 22 days. - There wasn't a clear owner for the AI agent 7 months in, after the innovation budget ran out and the consultants left. Fantastic article by the former COO of Citadel Securities in the EMEA region. If you've piloted AI projects that never made it to your P&L, read this before piloting another.

“By streamlining the routine tasks that pull you away from the bedside, our goal is simple: to give you back the time, the focus, and the joy of caring for your patients.” As someone who has dealt a lot with the health system, and seen how hard healthcare pros work, I love this effort to help them learn practical AI skills so much. #GrowWithGoogle blog.google/innovation-and-a…

New Google DeepMind paper says AI is already changing the economy, just not in the way people look for. Its changing through leaner startups, flatter org charts and slower hiring for some entry-level jobs, but not through mass job losses. The paper argues that big economic change from AI depends on agents learning to coordinate, not on each model getting smarter. AI models already match experts on many solo tasks, yet jobs and productivity numbers have barely moved. Most benchmarks test 1 model alone, but firms compete as teams. They built an economic model that tracks 2 abilities separately: competence on single tasks and coordination between agents. More competence moves wages gradually, but coordination past a tipping point lets a few large AI firms suddenly take over big, standardized markets. In a quiz of 100 people, pairs matched to cover each other's weak spots beat random pairs by 32%. AI copies share the same weak spots, so a model that beats every person alone can still lose to a well-matched human team.
I joined @GoogleDeepMind to develop a research program on the economics of AGI. Today, together with Andrew Koh (@andrewjkoh) and Shane Legg (@ShaneLegg), we are incredibly excited to release The Economics of Intelligence, the first in a series of projects from our group on how AGI will change the economy. How do capability improvements transform the economy, and when? In this project, we define thresholds of economic capabilities, e.g., minimal AGI, based on how they transform the economy. We then track how the economy–market structure, employment, and wages–changes during the transition across capability regimes. We have seen exponential increases in what AI agents can do but the broader economy seems almost remarkably unchanged. Part of the reason is that the solo AI agent is the wrong economic object; economic transformation is an equilibrium outcome where organizations compete. Looking at how intelligence functions within organizations, transformation will depend on when two key capability thresholds are crossed: competence (gains on individual skills, e.g., coding, math) and coordination (gains on ability of agents to cooperate and work together). We show that what economic transformation looks like depends on whether AI becomes supercompetent, supercooperative, or both—the regime of artificial superintelligence (ASI). Tracking this transition shows why the real visible transformation may come from improvements in coordination—a capability most benchmarks don’t yet track. Past a certain threshold, AI capabilities can break the Coasian ceiling on firm size and lead to an economy that looks drastically different than the one we see today. Two main takeaways: 1. To understand the path of transformation, we should be tracking agentic coordination more closely. 2. The impact of AI will likely show up in wages before market structure or employment. We are really excited about this paper. Excited to hear people’s thoughts. Link: institute.deepmind.com/essay…

Ambassador Huckabee, this is unreleased video of an American who was beaten almost to death last week by Israeli settlers. You know his name because he came to you for help, but you blew him off. That’s disgraceful. Do your job. @GovMikeHuckabee @SecRubio @davidamilstein @WhiteHouse

An HR chatbot can resolve an employee query faster. It cannot decide whether the HR function is organised around the right work. Gartner's AI-era operating model separates digital HR delivery, strategic talent leadership and HR product design. The distinction matters because routine service and consequential workforce decisions need different capabilities. A digital service may handle a policy query. A business facing a difficult capability or workforce choice still needs someone who understands its commercial priorities, people and organisational constraints. Reducing administrative work should create a reason to reconsider where expertise belongs and how it reaches the business. Faster answers alone do not establish that HR can make better talent decisions. Leadership still has to design that capability. @RLDI_Lamy @sulefati7 @ILoveBooks786 @Corix_JC @FrRonconii @COSTESLionelEr @Nicochan33 @faryus88 @ramonvidall @ozsilverfox @jameslhbartlett @dinisguarda @ricardo_ik_ahau @timo_vi @violetainsights @DioOmega @TravlTechDog @66Iot @TysonLester @TalentedLearn @JohnLeh @Eli_Krumova Source: Gartner, “Build An HR Operating Model That Succeeds In The AI Era”

Arm the Iranian people! Very pleased to hear others endorsing this. I’ve been urging this since the beginning of military operations against the Iranian regime. The Reagan Doctrine worked.

People use Sharia as to mock the Republicans and their ‘fears’ but looking after the environment, preventing climate change etc is a key aspect of Sharia.
We had a good run. Sharia law is here.

My team is already seeing signs that AI is changing the work people do within jobs, which could eventually reshape the roles themselves. I found it especially interesting that this insightful essay predicts wages may be another early indicator—moving before we see major changes in headcount or firm structure.

Fascinating read by @joncaramanica in the @nytimes on how @ishowspeedsui is taking livestreaming beyond the screen. His streams are unscripted, highly interactive and powered by a global community that follows along online and shows up with him in the real world. A great example of how @YouTubeCreators are redefining entertainment for the next generation. Read the full story here: nytimes.com/2026/10/29/magaz…
