⭐💙 Proud to support my mentor @montypal for the @ASCO Board. There are outstanding physicians, scientists and leaders. What makes Monty special to me is the way he brings all of those qualities together with humility, generosity, integrity and a genuine commitment to helping others grow. I have experienced that generosity personally. When I needed his support for an important step in my own leadership journey, he was there without hesitation. He listens, opens doors, shares opportunities and truly invests in people across institutions, countries and generations. ⭐ Leadership is not only about what you achieve. It is also about how many people you help move forward with you. Monty does that every day. 🗳️ To my eligible @ASCO colleagues: please vote for @montypal for the ASCO Board. 🔗asco.org/about-asco/asco-ove… @crisbergerot @PauloBergerot @DrChoueiri @neerajaiims @tompowles1 @brian_rini @DrDanielHeng @TiansterZhang @AlbigesL @HHammersMD @PGrivasMDPhD @DrRanaMcKay @apolo_andrea @AndreaNecchi @drenriquegrande @DrYukselUrun @ravikanesvaran @gbanna74 @OncoAlert @matteolambe @hoperugo @stolaney1 @ErikaHamilton9 @BianchiniGP @ElisaAgostinett @GaiaGriguolo @JankovicK @cdanicas @NiuSanford @GlopesMd #ASCOElection #OncologyLeadership #Mentorship #Oncology

The @OncoAlert #OAOnTheGO straight from #ESMO26 🇪🇸 Really important discussion on de-escalation in older women with low-risk early breast cancer. Great breakdown by our collegue Dr. Elisabetta Bonzano @to_be_elizabeth Looking forward to more data from EUROPA
The OncoAlert #OAOnTheGO straight from #ESMO26 Can we omit BOTH radiotherapy and endocrine therapy after breast-conserving surgery in older women with low-risk early breast cancer? 🤔 Our Faculty Dr. Elisabetta Bonzano🇮🇹 breaks down the TOP-1 trial for OncoAlert: 🔹 792 patients, age >70, HR+/HER2−, 75% grade 1 🔹 5-year local recurrence: nearly 15%, despite careful selection 🔹 Breast cancer–specific survival remains excellent, but recurrences still mean more surgery and treatment De-escalation means balancing local control, survival and quality of life. EUROPA (RT alone vs ET alone) will add to the picture. . #BreastCancer Pinging OncoAlert Breast Cancer Faculty @matteolambe @aftimosp @E_de_Azambuja @DrSGraff @ErikaHamilton9 @hoperugo @stolaney1 @BianchiniGP @aftimosp @kevinpunie @ElisaAgostinett @to_be_elizabeth @GaiaGriguolo @JankovicK @raalbany @JavierCortesMD @JaniceTNBCmets @Prof_Nadia_H @LoiSher @jamecancerdoc @Lucarecco @Dr_Oncologista @guiandri76

🎥 #OAOnTheGO | #ESMO26 Madrid @OncoAlert The most interesting part of the 6-year NATALEE update is not only that the benefit persists — it is that the gap in invasive disease-free survival continues to widen after ribociclib has stopped. Dr. Gil Morgan @OncoAlert breaks down the new data: 📊 OS: HR 0.81 ➡️ 2.1% absolute benefit at 6 years 📊 iDFS: absolute benefit now 5.3% ✅ No new safety signals ⏳ Patients are now more than 3 years off ribociclib 🎯 Why this matters: adjuvant therapy asks patients to accept treatment and toxicity today for a benefit that may only become fully visible years later. For me, the key question is whether the widening reduction in recurrence will ultimately translate into a durable survival advantage with longer follow-up. The OS analysis remains descriptive and the absolute difference is still modest — but this is exactly why mature follow-up matters. 🎬 Watch Dr. Gil Morgan’s clinical take in the latest #OAOnTheGO from @OncoAlert. @matteolambe @DrSGraff @ErikaHamilton9 @hoperugo @stolaney1 @BianchiniGP @kevinpunie @GaiaGriguolo @JankovicK @LoiSher #BreastCancer #NATALEE #Ribociclib #CDK46 #AdjuvantTherapy #OncoAlert
🎥 #OAOnTheGO Series in| #ESMO26 Madrid Dr. Gil Morgan (@OncoAlert) breaks down the 6-year NATALEE update! In this episode of #OAOnTheGO, Dr. Gil Morgan, OncoAlert representative, breaks down the 6-year NATALEE update, simultaneously published in Annals of Oncology. 🔬 Key takeaways: 📊 Overall survival: HR 0.81, with a 2.1% absolute benefit at 6 years. 📊 Invasive disease-free survival: Absolute benefit has widened to 5.3%. 📊 No new safety signals, with patients now more than 3 years off ribociclib. These findings strengthen the role of adjuvant ribociclib for eligible patients with high-risk, HR-positive, HER2-negative early breast cancer. While the overall survival analysis remains descriptive and the absolute benefit is modest, the results bring an important question into focus: Can preventing more recurrences ultimately help more patients live longer? 🎬 Watch Dr. Gil Morgan's clinical take in the latest #OAOnTheGO by OncoAlert. Just PUBLISHED in @NEJM nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NE… Interim analysis; median event-free survival (EFS) follow-up: 22.9 months. ➡️ D + EV: EFS HR 0.51 (95% CI, 0.38–0.67); OS HR 0.58 (95% CI, 0.40–0.83) ➡️ D + T + EV: EFS HR 0.61 (95% CI, 0.47–0.80); OS did not meet statistical significance ➡️ Pathological complete response (pCR): 45% with D + EV vs 10% with control ➡️ Grade 3/4 treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs): 30% with D + EV vs 42% with control ✅ Both primary EFS endpoints were met.
