I also wanted to pull out a special part of the piece: fuck Jensen Huang. By forcing customers to take early delivery of GPUs to boost quarterly revenues, he artificially inflated the price of RAM and every consumer electronic. He and his hyperscale paypigs are scumbags.
Free newsletter: In July, Apollo Economist Torsten Slok said that "AI better work out, or we have a problem." Facing ever-growing high-interest debt, negative-EBITDA AI labs and $200bn+ in warehoused GPUs, that's exactly what the AI industry has. wheresyoured.at/ai-had-bette…

Today, we are launching OpenRouter Armor in beta. Tool calls allow agents to interact with the world, and regex-based filtering often isn't enough to detect unwanted tool calls. Armor uses @typesafeai's Jev model to guard against out of policy tool calls before your agent executes them, with better performance than Claude Code's auto classifier at a fraction of the cost.

AI manics set to panic as Anthropic confirms *flat* ARR in 3Q. If Jul 26 ARR was 65bln, and total 3Q26 Revenue was 67.2bln, then basically no ARR growth. Even worse than the @tickerplus estimates, which were already on the low end of most trackers.
The Financial Times reports Anthropic generated $16.8B in Q3 revenue, up from $11.5B in Q2 While revenue continues to climb, quarterly growth has slowed, from 143% in Q2 to 46% in Q3

Gartner says that by 2030, 80% of neoclouds will have ceased operations, that AI data center owners would need to generate $8.5 trillion in revenue to cover the current spend and hit an ROIC of 12%, and that $4tr+ in assets face writedown risk by 2032. gartner.com/en/newsroom/pres…

Incredible: Not only is Google working to block AI crawlers, but @nozzleio uncovered evidence that Google is deliberately serving FAKE search results to scrapers The "poisoned" search results look real, but w/ garbage data. This influences AI crawlers, scrapers, & rank trackers.

Today we are rolling out Gemini 4 Argon globally in the Gemini API, to Pro + Ultra in Gemini App, and Ultra subs in Antigravity! Argon is a huge step forward for Gemini, and a labor of love. This model has been battle tested by over 100,000 people at Google over the last month, with so much new innovation, ambition, and hard work baked into this release. The team has been heads down over the last 6 months working to make this possible across the stack (research, infra, safety, eng, etc). We rolled the model out to cyber defenders as part of our fairwind program and early access customers over the last 2 weeks, it has been amazing to see and talk to folks who are now using this model daily. Seeing the models writing capability, raw knowledge and persistence for coding, paired with new features like 1M token output when the model needs to work more has gotten me even more excited about our path ahead. This is just the start of the Gemini 4 era. As you saw with 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 Flash, our iteration speed with Gemini is fast : ) Now with Gemini 4 Argon to work from, I am cannot wait to see the progress continue, and most importantly see what this new model enables for the world. This is such a special moment in the arc of technology, as millions of people everyday tackle problems they could never have thought possible before. Gemini 4 Argon was built to help you tackle the hardest problems. I have personally felt this spark with Argon and hope you do too. Onwards!!

NVIDIA really removed the biggest friction point in Voice AI 🤯 They open-sourced PersonaPlex-7B, a full-duplex conversational model that can listen and speak at the same time. Instead of waiting for you to finish talking, it uses a dual-stream architecture to process and respond in real-time. 100% Open-Source and Free.

I'm happy to be corrected here, but it appears that Anthropic has been counting billions of dollars of revenue that never actually flowed into the company (IE: sales through Bedrock/Vertex) as revenue? Can't wait to see the statement of cashflows for this company
"The discrepancy arose from attempts by OpenAI’s own investors to produce a direct comparison with Anthropic’s annualised revenues. The pair calculate the figure in different ways, with Anthropic including the revenue from sales via cloud partners such as AWS and Google Cloud, while OpenAI does not. Efforts to “gross up” OpenAI’s annualised revenue led to reports that the group’s annualised revenue had hit $40bn in August. The company has since told investors its revenues have grown more than 70 per cent, leading to the $70bn figure." Jeez man

Breaking: Michael Burry says the AI boom is running on one giant loop and time is running out Here's his breakdown: 1. Burry shared a report from Wall Street lender Ares tracking $573B of AI financing from the last 12 months 2. All of it runs through just 8 companies: Meta, Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, OpenAI, Anthropic, Broadcom and Nvidia 3. They lend to each other, guarantee each other's debt and buy from each other, so one company's loan is backed by another company's promise to keep spending 4. Every deal depends on one thing: AI spending never slowing down 5. If AI revenue disappoints for even one season, the guarantees could all get called at once, right when the companies backing them are at their weakest 6. Burry says it's the same circular financing that turned the 2000 telecom fiber boom into a bust Burry claims the stock market in the first stage of grief and the crash is soon

Found a GitHub repo that does what Claude Cowork does, on your own computer. It's called OpenWork. It has 23,900 stars, and its latest release was downloaded over 45,000 times in two days. As of today, new Cowork tasks run on Anthropic's servers. OpenWork is a free desktop app where AI agents work on your files, and the files stay on your machine. A few things caught my eye. It works with any model. Use your own API key, sign in with ChatGPT, or run a fully local model through Ollama. Runs on Mac, Windows and Linux, and you don't need an account to use it. Your Cowork setup moves over. Skills, Claude plugins and MCP servers carry across, and there's a migration guide. Cloud is there if you want it, but it's off by default. This is why open source matters. When a company changes the rules overnight, you can just move.
